- In honor of Major League Baseball celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Negro Leagues, author Larry Lester talked to Jason Benetti about the history of Negro Leagues baseball on the south side of Chicago.
The Chicago White Sox represent our city with Passion, Pride and Tradition, and are committed to a culture of winning baseball and continued community involvement beyond the diamond. With legends including Frank Thomas, Paul Konerko, Carlton Fisk and Harold Baines, to new stars including José Abreu, Tim Anderson, Yoán Moncada, Lucas Giolito and Eloy Jiménez, the White Sox have represented the fans and city of Chicago since 1900, first at Comiskey Park and now at Guaranteed Rate Field, while also providing for the community by providing annual support to hundreds of Chicago-based organizations through Chicago White Sox Charities.
