We booked a 1st class cabin with beds which was comfortable for the overnight journey.

No, we bought it at Sirkeci Train Station in Istanbul.
@@Loveandroadblog thanks. I was looking at to buy ticket online but I haven't found any website. I think I have to buy it just at train station.
Is visa need it
It depends on your nationality/passport. We have Brazilian passports so we don't need Visa to enter in Turkey, Bulgaria or Romania.
