    VERY informational ! Was wondering if water backs up to shower when tank is somewhat full and you are driving around ?

    • @AdventureTrudge
      @AdventureTrudge  Před 10 měsíci

      We haven’t ran into that issue yet! We installed HepvO valves on our sink and shower drains to help with that but we also just try to not let our gray tank get that full 😊

    • @AdventureTrudge
      @AdventureTrudge  Před 9 měsíci

      Thank you! I’m not sure if we have anything that isn’t shown in the video. We basically drilled through the I-beams running across the bottom of the bus and then slid the threaded rods through and put washer/lock washer/nut with thread locker on either side to hold them in place.

  • @EmilyKeeter
    @EmilyKeeter Před rokem +1

    Hi!! How did you attach the metal frame for the tank to the chassis? Did you just use self drilling metal screws? I’ve been trying to use lag screws and it is not working out haha

    • @AdventureTrudge
      @AdventureTrudge  Před rokem

      Ugh, it was not easy! We went through multiple drill bits but we basically just used large heavy duty drill bits, our impact driver, and Gavin’s muscles to drill the hole. Then we slid the threaded rod through the hole and added a washer/but/loctite on the backside of the beam. I’ve also seen people use something like this -

    Where did you get the black ring that you used for the drain? This is one of those niche things that I'm not even sure what to search for. Trying to get my grey water installed. At that weird awkward point where I'm trying to figure out the right things to google to answer the many questions I have.

    Hey guys! Thanks for the video! I am wondering what your ground clearance is? I am about to put in my tank and am concerned about my clearance.

    • @AdventureTrudge
      @AdventureTrudge  Před 9 měsíci

      Our entry stairwell is our lowest point I think - it is about nine inches off the ground. Our front axle is about 11 inches, and our water tank is roughly 15 inches off the ground. So where we mounted the tank there was enough space that it really didn’t affect our clearance!

    What keeps the dump valve pipe from sliding out from pressure inside the tank? Looked like the pipe just slid in without any secure connection and water pressure will just push it out.

    • @AdventureTrudge
      @AdventureTrudge  Před rokem +1

      Good question! We used self-sealing grommets from rec-pro for anywhere we have a pipe going into our gray/fresh water tanks. They expand when you push the pipe through and lock it in place.
