My good friend and mentor took a beating when he entered too far to the right of the bomb shelter during my first descent of Nordheimer. He ended up with a fractured maxillary and 18 stitches. It really highlighted the importance of a competent & capable safety crew, first-aid kits in every dry bag, and a full-face for those days when you're charging. Another incredible weekend in the Salmon drainage. Heal up quick, Chico!

did that happen at freight train? Where did you guys end up going for medical care? thnx for posting.

Yeah, he entered too far right coming into the bomb shelter and got pushed into the pile instead of flushing left. I gave him first-aid after the incident and then he got to urgent care in Yreka.
