    I can relate. I went through a divorce when my son was around two years old. It was difficult. I did intermidient fasting. No breakfast but at at noon and had a smoothie or a salad for dinner. Im 5'2.5 . Gave up sugar, carbs due to my gluten allergy. You can so it. I was 225 now two months later im 205 hallelujah. You ca do this.

    Hey Rochelle, You can do this!!! I am 57 and my weight is up and down. I walk every day and I feel great afterward. You have a great big yard. Why don't you walk lapses around the yard? It is a start. You'll be able to do it. You are an amazing woman!!!! ❤

    I'll continue to be watching. I'm on a weight loss journey as well. 5'4 and 230 something. I had lost and was down to 219 but gained it back. I'm 52+ and a lot of mine is hormonal and just not eating healthy enough. We can do this. You got this😊❤

      Hey how r u doing today 7/15/24 ? I can't eat just plain greek yogart..if it doesn't taste good to me I just can't eat it. That first meal with shrimp n veggies looked really good. I have alot of health problems that effect my weight that I need to keep working on too. So were in this together, I have the channel Tina's The Outsider from Michigan and I'm part time in my dgc minivan for over 4 years.

      Yes I feel the same, the only way that I can eat plain Greek yogurt is if I'm replacing it as sour cream on a taco or something like that. It does have an odd taste just alone by itself. We got this Tina!!

    You got this, Rochelle!! I'm rooting for you!! I need to be serious too!! I'm 5'1", 65 years old and 80# overweight!! I have health problems that make it hard to walk distances. That's how I lost so much before. My feet are so damaged from Rheumatoid Arthritis and after 25 years of it, I'm a mess. To make a long story short, I'm trying to eat low carb. It's coming off, but slowly. So we'll be in this together!!

    First of all you are absolutely beautiful inside and outside. I can tell you that 2 years ago, I weighed 284 pounds. I cut out all things white, the main thing is sugar, white bread, white flour. Now I weigh 220. I’m still on the journey. One tip is don’t beat yourself up and don’t hit it too hard. There is no time frame. Lots of water is also a key!! Make it a lifestyle change NOT a diet!!! You will do great!! Prayers help on the journey!! I’m praying for you beautiful!! ❤

    One day at a time, I stopped eating alot of meat and incorporated more plant based meals and extra vegetables/its helping. Its great that you acknowledge that you want to change..Try using the word *Lifestyle* vs diet. All the best with your lifestyle changes and adjustments. ❤😊 🙏

    Rochelle. Sometimes you need time to yourself. Do you have someone to watch the kids for a day? And you can treat yourself to a spa-like atmosphere at home. Soak in the tub. Light candles. Listen to music and relax.

    I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for the past 4 weeks. It’s a great way to figure out what your diet and lifestyle should be. It helps with stress also ❤

    Keep on good work. You got this, Stay positive. It's a journey not a race. I was 405 down to 360 in 3 months. My biggest advice is weigh yourself weekly . Checking the scale daily will drive u crazy. Love your page and videos and become a fan of you as well as your brother. Hope to see u have fun doing up the ASTRO van soon. And like the thrift shopping videos u do .

    I am 66 years old and I gain 25 pounds going through menopause. I am 10 pounds from my goal. It has taken me a year to lose the weight. I wanted to go slow so I didn't have sagging. My first step was cutting out bread. I saw results and it encouraged me to make more changes. Start with making a change and sticking with it. I look forward to your journey.

    I'm proud of you that you have made your mind up to start this journey. Definitely meal plan and prep. I would also suggest an app such as (My Fitness Pal) to log in how much food you are consuming and how many calories you're burning. Make sure your goals are reasonable. I also think visuals help as well. Take all of your measurements and keep a log. You will notice inches being lost first, then weight. Set aside time some to walk and do some light work outs with hand weights. Remember that you didn't gain the weight overnight so this will take some time if you do it healthy. Write down why you're losing the weight, perhaps put up some photos along with your written statement and place it somewhere that you will see it regularly. Try creating mantras to stay on track as well.
    This is a new chapter in your life, and just know you can do anything that you set your mind to do!

    A caterpillar goes through a great deal of darkness before it becomes a butterfly . You are on your way! Im very proud of you and your strength. Its definitely the season for losing weight. For me too! I weigh more now than I ever have. Im with you. Last year was the year of transition for alot of us. It was very dark this whole past yr.     Hi Roschell. We women fight this weight issue always. I lost 94 lbs after my third baby. I ate my same foods, & turned my heavier meal to my first meal of the day. My servings became smaller ( served myself only on salad small plates),until at end of day, I ate my lightest meal. I drank plenty of water & if I got hungry between meals, I ate veggies 🥕. Beginning of the day I planned daily what I’d eat. Before I knew it, I’d changed my behavior. Like you, I’ve no diabetes, high B/P, or heart problems etc. I’ve kept it off. Now, I eat only 90-100 carbs,65gms of fat,& no added sugars. Snack mostly veggies 🥕. NO DIETING. My changed behavior did it& meal planning daily. Period. Plus sheer determination & moderate exercise. Mainly activities of daily living. Did I mention I gained 55 lbs with my last pregnancy & yes a divorce all during this time. Roschell, you can do it.

    Honeyyyu I'm a plus size woman and I was at 280 I hot real sick.got done to 220 since October of last year I gained some weight now I'm at 262 I said dammmmmm but my weight don't define who I am I can rock with it periodddd and still look fly ❤❤❤ but I'm diabetic so actually tomorrow is my doctor appointment and I'm sighing up for weight loss surgery yayyyy I'm proud of myself I'm doing it ❤❤❤

Stress, depression,marriage issues play a role for sure. You are young and have a life ahead of you that I know will be amazing! Your spirit shines through in your videos!     I've always (and still) struggled with my weight. I'm 62 years old and about the same weight as you, which is shocking because you look so much smaller.
    BUT, I want to tell you this...after years of carrying this extra weight, my body hurts every day....my joints ache, sometimes my heart races so fast I'm afraid I'm having a heart attack. And I know that I'm the one who is cheating myself from getting the most of my life. I'm too young to feel this bad. That is a scary, but true fact.
    Life is precious. Take small steps and keep in mind that it's a long road and you don't have to make a goal weight on some schedule. Just love yourself in a way that you would love and care for your best friend. Treat yourself with love and kindness, and know that these changes you're making are all good things. I think sometimes we get it into our minds that we are being deprived when we try to eat healthier. That is wrong thinking. It's not a deprivation but a an opportunity.
    And if you fall, and we do fall sometimes, it is not a reason to give up. It's just a bump in the road. Keep your eye on the goal....to live as long as healthily as you can so you can be there to enjoy as much time with your family as possible.
    Also, I'm starting at the local gym tomorrow! Yay! I found a workout friend and I'm going to get on that treadmill and take a walk. I'm not looking to become as small as I ever was, but just to know that I'm doing what I can to care for myself in a mindful and kind way.

    Girl don't feel bad. You are not alone. Stress and depression will do that to you. I know all too well. I always seem to eat more when I'm stressed out as well. You have been through alot.     Hey hun You Got This. I am in my early fifty’s and I have said the same thing, different is I have health issues bad back . But a week ago I pushed myself to go to the track and walk two miles what was I thinking. But did it for five days took Wednesday and Sunday off. Picked it back up this week my off day will be Sunday. So small changes will give big rewards.

I also am on a weight loss journey, and am much older than you - in my 60's , thank you Lord ! I have been able to lose 26 pounds since November 2023. Hope to be in ONEDERLAND this year!     We are on the same boat! When I was listening to you I was like that’s me too! You got this! We got this!! I started 3 weeks ago and I already feel so much better! I don’t weigh myself though I go by how my clothes feel and how I feel in my body, that’s just me. I find weighing myself every week can be so disappointing. I’m 5’9 and have the big breast and behind and thighs so even when I was skinny my weight was higher than most women.
    I have already been seeing my stomach going down in just a few weeks, what I’m doing is high protein lowering my carbs not cutting them completely out just eating them in smaller portions and choosing healthier snacks, lots of water and I still enjoy some of those guilty pleasures but in moderation like having 2 cookies instead of having 10 I have been working on training my brain to be ok with just having a little and to pick healthier foods for my body. I also don’t have anything to eat after dinner, I do the 16 hours with no food. And the # 1 is God if you ask Him to help you He most definitely will! I’m praying for you and please pray for me we can do this!! And know that your Gorgeous no matter what! and take your time and train your brain on being healthy thats how it’s going to last and be gentle on yourself not to hard but still having discipline if that makes sense.

Second, you're encouraging me to get it together and lose weight. I'm pretty sure that I've gained 20+ lbs recently. Either I'm depressed and gaining weight or I'm happy and gaining weight.     Hey Rochelle never would have guessed you weighed that much. I gained weight and was diagnosed with diabetes at 63. I was told to go on a high protein low carb diet. It helps plus im suppose to walk 21/2 miles. But remember it took you a year to gain the weight give yourself a year to lose the weight. It's not easy but if you lose slowly it will stay off
    I know you can do it. You have been through something awful. Mentally I know I've been through it. And its a dark time. But I am so happy you now are thinking about your health you have come out of the darkness into the light. Drink plenty of water and a diet coke is not going to hurt occasionally. Be good to yourself and please don't go hungry. The weight will come off I know you have the willpower to stop eating processed food fast food and unnecessary sweets. Look forward to your next video. And don't weigh a lot. Let it be a surprise. Thinking of you. Good Luck

    Good luck on your journey! It does take a lot of self discipline but you totally got this! And with this future weight loss it is time to let go of what brought you there in the first place. Start everything on a clean slate. Nothing negative controls you anymore. ;) I would like to suggest that you film how you made your dishes so perhaps anyone on this channel wanting to lose weight can also learn how to prepare and join you.     I definitely innerstand the stressors of a divorce and we all handle it differently. So we have you sis because we've been there too. As for the weight gain and struggle loosing it, you're not alone there either, and its really hard for me to lose mine because outside of caring for my dad or doing household chores I rarely exercise and on top of it my job is sedentary.
    I wish we had sidewalks in this rural part of Georgia, it would make walking in the neighborhood easier. But we're like 30 minutes from Alabama so I know city officials are not even thinking about sidewalks. LOL!
    So yes, let's hold each other accountable with this weightloss journey so we can have an excellent quality of life. And we're not claiming diabetes, high blood pressure etc. We're claiming and receiving a healthy lifestyle so that we can live for our kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

    I too havr always struggled with my weight....so you are not alone. It is like an ongoing battle to lose and or maintain weight. I would suggest start with small achieveable goals because it will help you see that it is very doable and will boost your self confid😂nce that u can absolutely do it. By the way....i love your hair...it looks awesome on you.

    I guessed 220. I'm 72 and have bad arthritis so I can't exercise to get my weigh off. A few weeks ago my scale said 210 and I am also 5'2". I had to cancel my "Y" membership. I have to use a walker to get around my house and at my part-time job. In April I got a shot in my back for sciatica on the right side, and that med has made it hard to lose weight.

    Great Day 1 meal! Let starchy veggies be the bulk of your carbs. Give your body time to transistion. Journal your highs & lows. You'll start to feel better & that will motivate you more! Include daily or every other day walk on your beautiful land. Have faith that you have the strength & guidance needed to do this.

    I'm in the same boat 254 at 45 years old it's a struggle we get to a certain age it's hard to loose weight but we can do it just gonna take a little more hard work a little more exercise and discipline but you can do it you're 30s that's not old 😊

    Gaining 30 lbs in a year is not bad. My wife went from 200 to 252 in a year after our 4th. She is 185 and losing after a year. She did 80/20 diet to stay consistent and avoid relapse 80 percent of the time you eat healthy and 20 percent of the time you have a meal or 2 that you really enjoy. Worked out 5 days a week by walking and doing Dumbell and kick boxing workouts on youtube.
    Monday wed Friday- weights on youtube
    Tuesday thursday - walk or kickboxing on yotube
    Finish with a stretch then on weekends just be active with the kids.
    The weight started really dropping after about 6 weeks. She did intermittent fasting too I think 4 days out of the week.
    Biggest tip is to stay off the scale...and remind yourself why.

    One of the shifts that helps me is I took food out of "good" "bad" and put it into "more healthy" and"less healthy'. 💖
    When I wake up I have the first CHOICE! "Am I going to be on the planet or making choices to leave? Yes leave, as in move towards death.) 💖 With all of my choices like take the stairs or the elevator, breakfast choice giving me longer sustaining energy and brain health or brings me fast high energy then crash? ❤
    God didn't put BAD food on the Earth, Man has added ingredients to make them "LESS healthy'". Making choices close to God's Earth is always a better choice.
    Example! 🤔The body needs fats, so organic olive oils, nut oils not "vegetable" oils, margarine or spreads. Picking Fats from God's Earth are healthy and add flavor!🐝🐝🐝 Complex Carbohydrates are also necessary for sustained "I'm choosing LIFE one choice at a time. "🎉🎉🎉
    Our bodies will work with us in goals of "I choose Life" 💖 Our body it won't work with GOOD or BAD choices, it's the Vessel our Soul along with God chose for us to house this Earth experience called HUMAN Life (genetics and all😂).
    The Switch from good/bad thinking to "more healthy/less healthy'" is a Consciousness choice.
    For me it makes choices not about warring with the vessel that houses our SOUL! 🙊🙉🙈
    Am I hating on body instead of asking what my body does when I fuel it poorly? Am I adding fuel that gums up my engine or gives me high quality octane that doesn't sludge up the engine!
    🛑🖐️🛑. I also use the HALT acronym (Hungry Angry Lonely Tired). Something is up, I'm off! Hungry? Angry? Lonely? Tired? Being aware I'm off , for me allows my body to be telling me what's up! Am I hungry, angry, lonely or tired?
    Then what's the MOST healthy solution RIGHT NOW for me? If I'm Tired and can't nap, I close my eyes and deep breathe for 5 minutes. Just some thoughts that move me along.

      Ooh this is sooooo good, Andrea! You're so right. Man has made food less healthy. And so good that you have the self discipline and awareness to listen to your body like that and get it back under your control when you feel off. This is all so good.       My Body, "my Vessel housing my Soul" is MY BEST Friend! I get to hang out with my best friend every day! If my best friend was coming to visit EVERYDAY how would I prepare? Best friends take us and love us up WHATEVER state we are in!

    Hello, I have hypothyroidism and have always struggled to lose weight. I recently went to an endocrinologist and got diagnosed with PCOS. He put me on Metformin and I’ve lost 3lbs so far in 3 weeks. It’s not a miracle drug but will help bring your body back into balance so that it’s a little easier to lose weight.
