- Thanks for stopping by my sewing room. I am so pleased with the Red T Shirt I sewed from my favourite Butterick Pattern. I have also sewn a couple of Baby Girl outfits and another Bum Bag. Lots of things to chat about this week and also I do the Prize Draw for the patterns.

Thanks Andra and guess what?! The smallest ones fitted Chloë and she is 7 months this week!! They loved them so I can make some more 👏🏼. Good to see you in your vest, and glad he’s warming up to it, I think it looks fab! And your red tee….i like that pattern too, I once told you I had a red one cut out, it’s done but too chilly to wear, even under a vest just yet. Or a tank top. In the US we call a tank top a vest. Just happy we speak the same language, it’s all good fun learning and seeing other countries…..there are bluffs near here, over the Mississippi River, but not the sea, which I find so calming. Love the water. Don’t live near it. Ah well. Take care.
Thanks! Chris was getting to like it but then he called me a Viking yesterday😂. I had forgotten you were going to make that top in red as well, it is too cold for me too but hopefully it will get lots of use in Florida. Now I had to look up what a Bluff was!! Hi Deb, I can't believe I had bought so much fabric and it was all plains! Those rompers were a hit and to say I was happy to see Chloe in them was an understatement 👏🏼. Re the new home, we will indeed need new curtains and a LOT of them as they are.... not quite my taste and the linings are mouldy. I am going to take a short cut and buy ready one and then just alter to fit. No Deb.....not a quilt 😂😂😂. Hi Carole-I had to laugh when you said you had been watching too many American videos and were talking in yards of fabric. I have been watching soooooo many British and Australian videos that I have to watch myself and not speak with a British accent! Lol. I love those adorable little rompers, and I do sooooooooooooooo love you cardboard manikin. You gave me an idea: I don't have a manikin, but perhaps I could make a cardboard one(just a bodice size) to model my me mades and take photos to post photos of my stuff. Oh Theresa, that is hilarious now I am wondering if I have picked up the US accent too. I know I use a lot of American phrases 😂. I just finished a hat to go with the one-year-old's Easter dress and I'm making some bloomers to go under the 3 month old's dress. Your red top is so pretty. I really like the gathering, it does elevate the T-shirt a bit. The blue knit fabric is a gorgeous color. It will make an awesome cardigan. Aww it sounds like you are making the most gorgeous items for your granddaughters, I am really so envious as I never seem to get asked to make anything! I was so pleased with the T Shirt as you can see the gathering so well in the plain fabric, it isn't quite as obvious on my other tops. I completely understand about the boring sheet sewing. I did a lot of that when we got our touring caravan, last year, with twin beds! As you say, they are much smaller than normal beds and the cost of custom sheets is out of the question - so I did two fitted sheets for each bed (from scratch, fabric from Dalton Mill) and a mattress protector for each (cut down from bought). I then had to replace our home sheets, as the bed is a funny size…. Mind numbingly tedious and awful. I still have 4 duvet cases to cut down to size but I just can’t face it!😂
Ok so me just doing the two singles won't be too hard then if you had to do all that!! Well done you. I know I made a Queen size duvet into a double once and that was jolly 😂. I just didn't want to face paying a fortune for something I could easily do, like you did. I don't feel as bad now that I have read what you achieved! Thanks for watching 🧵😊

I've never used it on fabric other than tent rain fly seams and leather hiking boots. I've printed out the free fanny pack pattern and will make it at some point after I get moved to FL. As a viewer and subscriber to numerous YT channels, I really appreciate your not publicizing your drawing, to give your loyal subscribers a fair chance at winning your destashed patterns. Personally, I've got waaaaaaaay too many patterns now and seriously don't need any more. Hi Dori! Yes I did change up the logo a bit but no way could I leave out the hedgehog pincushion which most people think is a cactus 😂. I have to admit I was very happy and relieved as both the winners came from the UK so it was much easier to get them posted off 👏🏼The dress for Katie with the embroidery is now done but she has one more for me to do with 3 piglets on them. My daughter does like to challenge me! You did make me chuckle about the private jet, I know it seems we are away all the time but that is us Brits, we love to leave our country 😂. The Static caravan will encourage us to stay a little more and with Chris retiring in a couple of years we wouldn't be able to afford jetting around the world like we do! Hi there, those 3 designs came out ok thank goodness but I seem to be better at it than I used to be. I did put out a couple of videos when I bought it last year, but I was very much feeling my way then. Hi Carole, I have just made a Simplicity 9455 pinafore dress. I made the size Large which is for 18months. It was too big for my 2yr 9 month old Granddaughter, apart from the length. It fitted (apart from the length) my 7 year old Granddaughter !! with room to spare
Quite amusing really...better than being too small, although I do have an almost 1 year old Granddaughter 🤣🤣🤣

Carol, lovely makes! The baby outfits would be perfect for a baby shower gift. Also love your new tshirt, I am trying to boost my sewjo so I just cut out an the pattern for the Closet core TShirt. The big 4 patterns are not as easily obtained in my area. I really like the plastic envelopes you use with your sewing projects, do you purchase them on line? If so, would you mind to share the details. I am trying to fine something larger than what is available in my local stationary store. Thank you and have a great week.
Hi Brenda! I had to have a look at that pattern when I read your comment. I really like the look of that boxy tee with the pocket. I can't buy patterns locally I have to source them all online. Those plastic envelopes I saw others have so I managed to find some on Amazon. First of all I got A4 ones which are too small but those ones I showed were much better. I have a button up shirt that I picked up at a thrift store, then saw Amy wearing it on one of the BBT episodes. It makes me chuckle every time I wear it…and you’re right, she was cool in her own way. Red is my favorite color, so I love the t-shirt! 😊-Deborah

On your favorite baby jumper just don’t sew up the inside legs and crotch and put snaps on it that way they don’t have to take it all way off to change the toddler
Hi Pamela, thanks so much for your comment. I have asked my daughter on many occasions if she still like the rompers like that and she did. I know I looked after the boys and didn't find it too much hassle. They never seem to be in them for long anyway 😂. As you say though, just add a bit extra on the legs, create facings, poppers on and it would be perfect! Thanks for watching 🧵😊
