I recently came across several videos who mention the same advice regarding painting metallic colors to look realistic, and that is painting it black first then go over it with your metallic color, you man did those bells beautifully, the other thing that they mentioned the videos that I saw, was to add triple thick gloss. If you wanted it to be even more shinier and more of a metallic look, I prefer the mat little bit of shiny metallic. Look to items that I paint like that. Those bells are gorgeous.
