Wow!! I didn’t have any idea that the bells weren’t real from the thumbnail . How fun. This is a great project for older kids. The star from your garden tree was also made of chopsticks. I use them for small plant stakes inside and out. Also tried making a rabbit discouraging ring of chopsticks around some outdoor plants.

I love all the beautiful colors & textures! I will be going around my property to fill some planters. The bells are genius!
I bought some paper cups today at Dollar Tree and they have a pattern on them. No big deal because I will paint over it of course. I want to let you know that instead of using a blunt ended tool or pen, I found it much quicker and easier to just use my fingers. Of course if you have short fingers it won't work. I popped out the bottom of the cups easily and was very pleased. Maybe these cups are strong, I don't know.
I then unrolled the tops like you did and that was easy too. I have one cup drying in my paint room and I used black flat paint. I just ordered a tube of Rub 'n Buff in antique gold from Amazon but won't get it until next Wed. Grrrrr.
Also, I have a bunch of chop sticks and did the same thing you did to make clangers. I love making things and can't wait to see the end results. Thank you for sharing this idea!!!!
Not only will the 'bells' look great, they will be super light and can hang on just about anything. I'm not going to use thick rope though. I have jute twine and will use that. If it doesn't look good I will double it. Happy holidays to you!!!
