I immediately thought, "That's Helen Henny!" And then just as you were saying it, I thought "That's a Chuck E. Cheese band!" I used to work as Chuck himself in high school. My title was "Walk Around Character." Best job ever!
Been there for such a long time. I was lime 4 or 5 and completely forgot about it until i visited ocean city with my cousin about 2 years ago. She really does look like Helen from Chuck E Cheese
Fun fact: the panda IS Chuck E. Cheese lol
It's really cool when you get a chance to really get in character and become someone else for at least a moment :)
@@S.O.N.77 no it’s Pasqually’s mask
Animatronics are becoming such a lost art these days, you love to see em! It does me good to see places like this preserving and using them!
I absolutely adore animatronics, I have since long before FNAF became popular, and I love seeing so many of them here! Also, I love the old CEC animatronics. Nice to see them given new life, those ones are nearly extinct.
I've loved animatronics, it varies, but I find them unique and interesting. Disney still keeps them alive mostly, but the old days of animatronic bands are sadly done for. While I hate to admit it, FNAF has brought some renewed interest in animatronics, both people wanting to view them and own/refurb them. So I think we could see a eventual resurge, but with Scott Cawthon no longer making FNAF games, interest might dewindle.
almost like nobody wanting to see a pony pfp
that was a joke lads
This particular animatronic band will be there for a long time! They’re nothing to worry about.
One thing i never realised that there is so much history behind a lot of these amusement parks Jacob, really nice to see family’s out enjoying themselves as well, Thankyou x

@@englishatheart as I’ve said before, get a life you sad person
America is full of this kind of small, cute amateurish and fun theme parks. Love it!
Americana (if right word im looking for) at its Best Best types of parks down home warmth
"What should we do with all these glass dividers from last year?"
"*....Make a maze!"
active recycling good one
I’m very impressed with how well this amusement park has been maintained. And the Dark Ride is epic!
Its so nice to see that they're taking such good care of their animatronics!!
Those characters up on the building actually were aliens from an old buzz lightyear style shooting game, it was a really fun dark ride I loved it when I was little! It then got turned into a minigolf course and then a pizza place took over. It’s pretty cool they kept the figures around though. I honestly never noticed that despite basically living there oops.
The carpetbagger and the man and dog show in the same video? Yes sign me up!!!!
Pretty cool that one of the tombstones read Bill Tracy lol
Oh good, I was hoping someone else caught that!
@@ElyseExplosion lol couldn't miss it
The Dark ride should be called the Bright Ride. So cool. thank you for sharing with us.
i love how random these parks are, great video :)
yes!!! more jersey shore!! thanks for showing off the best and most nostalgic parts of south jersey!!
Having spent my summers at OC Maryland I’ve always been so curious what OC in Jersey looked like! I’m a sucker for the ride areas (cough cough haunted mansion in rehoboth) and this whole place looks incredible?! So much theming and well kept, time to plan a trip.
Other way around for me! I’d love to take a trip down to OC Maryland one day!
It was just announced that Gillians is closing after 94 years in business. 😢
Your unimpressive reaction to The Man and Dog show gets me every time
I’ve never been here but I watch the guy he works here all the time you’re my favorite
Do you mean Andrew Boylan?
This place is so cool even the animatronics I've seen a CZcams video about the animatronics
The golf course, Dark Ride, the log ride everything is so cool
Wonderfully oldschool park, they seem to like turning the rides up to fast
They’re slow
Congrats on the two "hole in 1" and that was the most intense water ride I've seen!
7:41 I swear that that's Disney's Brer Rabbit with a but with a Green Shirt. It looks way too similar to him. The fact that they have the Crows from Dumbo on the same exact ride makes me think it's SUPPOSED to be Brer Rabbit. That's pretty cool they included him.
It probably is I live near-ish this place and they have a ton of probably not really licensed properties and bootlegs, hell, theres a whole minigolf course dedicated to it lmao.
Oops I didn’t actually know he covered it in this video 😅 as you can see the bootleg cartoons are um interesting
Thanks for finding these awesome dark rides. This one looked amazing!
Thank you for exploring Gillian’s wonderland. Always love the Animatronics there
I'm from the south but went to Ocean City a few times with cousins from Philadelphia. Good to see Gillians again, and good to see nothing has changed. Its underrated, so classic, so good
Its soo cool to see them the man and dog back to normal
That dark ride is perfect.
I've never been to ocean city
New Jersey. Glad you shared this. Sure is beautiful.
Dark Ride is cool! That first woman that screams is actually disturbing.
I volunteered for a haunted house one halloween and one of those things was in the room next to me. Listening to it go off every 10 minutes for 3 hours starts to make you a little crazy 😵
HEY, JACOB WHAT'S Up well, yes I do love the old school amusement parks as You do the DARK RIDE
Was awesome never seen one so colorful Before cool and after your journey through New Jersey Hope you Will work your way to CT and LAKE COMPOUND which I Loved as a kid but will See OK take care stay safe and see you on the next adventure
That was the part where I closed my eyes both times I went on the ride. I never opened my eyes. I should go on it soon.
Ahh, you got to see Man & Dog.
Good to see that they are holding up real well, considering its history and age!
Hi Jacob ....I wanted to let you know that Gillians Wonderland is unfortunately shutting it's doors forever this October as a life long NJ resident this is so so sad
It’s a shame I was planning to go by december of this year now there getting rid of it.
Jacob says the first rule of glass houses is "Throw no stones"... The *second* rule is "Put the bathroom in the basement/cellar." : )
Grew up in jersey. Should go south to wildwood nj .by far the biggest boardwalk in jersey and imo the best .
That Man & Dog animatronic was awesome! great deal for only a dollar!
What an adorable Dark Ride! Thanks for going thru twice! 😜💕
That's reasonable.
And I love seeing those
Animatronic creatures.😊
Yay at a theme park again!
OMG I HAD NO CLUE YOU WERE IN JERSEY! DUDE Ocean City is a Lovely little town! I'm glad you liked it!
Thank you for taking me where I did not know I wanted to go.
Jacob! This is one of you best! Thank you.
There's mini golf too. Wow!😮😮😮😮😮
Sweet! You got to see Rocky and the Railroad Ramblers (aka the Man and Dog Show).
That’s also an old chuck e chess or rockafire exposition
@@tommyt1357 Yep, that's an old balcony stage from Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre. This show came from the old Zack Periwinkles, which got their show from a Pizza Time Theatre.
Kinda surreal to be here in NC looking at a cat named Bubba singing "Thank God I'm a country boy" in Ocean City, NJ. lol Yes, yes I do. lol
Man and Dog show has an interesting history. I highly recommend watching the videos on it.
They look like reskins of chucke cheese
@@kaitlando636 They are.
@@kaitlando636 that’s what makes it interesting
You can tell the people who put the Darkride together likes the one from Ocean City, Maryland. There is alot of that feel in there.Very cool ride.
Looks a fabulous family wonderland and with my name too. Who'd of known there's a Gillian Wonderland. Thanks Jacob.
This place is really cool I had no idea that it existed! Imagine taking your entire childhood and putting it into a theme park. That’s what this place is giving me right now.
i always love seeing new vidoes of animatronics to see what condition they are in
I’ve been going there since I was a baby! One of my favorite attractions was the train ride around the park. Looking and listening to the animatronics now make this part of the board walk seem like a time capsule! Sadly, it does seem as though they have painted over the past wild-west theme with the White Castle mural instead :(
Thanks so much for taking us along with you to OCNJ, we just came back from there!
The Dark Ride and the Gnomes were Cool
A carousel is a ride with the horses. That my friend is called a Merry Go Round... Oops! I mean Ferris Wheel.
The difference used to be if it had a motor or not, now it depends on the direction it goes. Merry Go Rounds go clockwise and Carousels go counter clockwise.
I thought it was a Ferris wheel ...
@@sixthspirit - Oh 😬 You’re right 🤭
CZcamsrs aren't allowed to be educated. They all live in basement closets.
@@howiegruwitz3173 LOL
Dude, your video gave me such nostalgia I packed up the family and drove to the boardwalk! Thanks for the idea cause we just had a blast!
the animatronics look like the characters from the game "five nights at freddy's". I wouldn't want to come to this park at night.
They hang out in Dark Ride at night
Can there ever be animatronics that people don't compare to FNaF?
There’s a guy who works there who makes videos of him working on them at night
Fuzzy bunny lol! She's faking it. Love that on the Simpsons!🙂Congratulations on the holes in one! That course is Super Awesome!🥳🤘
The fact he said "Jillian's" Wonder Park instead of "Gillian's" Wonder Park just killed my mood, I live literally one block away from it and it used to be my happy place.
Jacob his name isn't derpy dog it's Droopy Dog.
Great video I use to go to Ocean City NJ as a kid So this brought back a lot of memories
Hey Carpetbagger! Did you see the Bill Tracy tombstone on the first ride through?
I saw that too! Wonder if it's his ride or just an homage.
The ride was designed by Wayne Seddon who worked for Bill Tracy. Some of the stunts are from Gillian’s first dark ride, Tracy’s Ghost Creek Caverns. Some of the stunts were molded from Tracy stunts and some were built by Wayne to resemble Tracy stunts, like the prisoner, the rat and the bat. Wayne made the gravestone as a homage to his former boss. www.laffinthedark.com/articles/gillians/ghh_P1.html
I am loving these classic amusement park videos!
Thank you for sharing it Jacob looks like you had a wonderful time looks alot of fun stay safe
look so cool lots thing can do there ty for showing this video
I don't know why, but 23:11 was the funniest scream ever
Jacob,
The Bill Tracy tombstone is in honor of the dark ride that used to be on the pier that he created, called Ghost Creek Caverns. It closed back in the mid-80's.
I went there once! I rode the dark ride with my brother. I came out shaking and I was crying lmao. It’s a lot more brighter than I remember
Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon, the little dog laughed to see such sport and the dish ran away with the spoon. You were close though. 😂
Those are def old Chuck e Cheese characters as the "Italian" is Pasqually, and the one with the banjo is Jasper T Jowels, and The hen is Helen Henny, and so on.. It cracks me up. LOL This place reminds me of Ocean City Maryland. Love your content.
Most people are confused by the last two but the panda is actually Chuck and the lion is Mr. Munch. They just don’t have their original heads.
@@Toaster003 That's true, now that I look at it you are so right. I was so in love with Chuck and the gang as a kid, and kind of still am LOL. :)
This is so cool and awesome
your rockin' the dark ride thing...very cool vlogs!
that train looks so cool to ride.i love how it goes outside
That log ride is perfect for these summer 🥵
Love this vlog and all the Ocean City videos.
This place is amazing! Thanks for the trip!
I love dark rides no matter how lame they are
Thanks Jacob for another entertaining video.love from Australia 🇦🇺
I saw those animatronics in a video a while ago but had no idea there were in ocean city! I go every summer with my family
Keep heading south down the coast! There’s Wild Wood, NJ, the Cape May Ferry, Rehoboth beach, DE (there’s a dark ride on their boardwalk), and ocean city MD
So sweet!
Wow! I didn’t notice til just now. But it looks like they reused old 90s themed Chuck E Cheese animatronic endoskeletons for their western ride.
Only FNaF calls then endoskeletons. They’re called mechs when they’re real.
Congratulations on 2 holes in one! I know it tough to do that when filming with one hand and shooting with the other. That was a cool adventure!
I love the dark ride and man your like a kid in a candy store when you go to these places I would be to
😯 So this place wasn’t a fever dream!
Are all crows "controversial"? Can we let that go now? This is 2021 for crying out loud!
Gillians looks great . There was a big fire at Gillians a few months back. It’s great to see it looking so good.
You should check out Wildwood. Lots of good stuff to see there.
The fire was at Castaway cove
Nice! Mini golf, dark ride, log ride that's all I need. Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
Super Video thanks for a great park look an tour! And the Man and Dog Show!
My family used to go here for summer vacation every year when I was a kid. This was back in the 80s. I have so many fond memories of this place, and it doesn't look like all that much has changed! It also holds a special place in my heart because I had my first ever dark ride experience there. It wasn't the Dark Ride featured here, though. At the time, they had a haunted mine cart ride. Sadly, it appears to be lost to history. Thank you for this lovely trip down Memory Lane!
WOW this really brought be back to my childhood! I went every summer when i was in grade school and haven't been back since. Thanks for that trip down memory lane.
That rabbit with the red coat on the miniature golf course is definitely the character from Michael Jackson Moonwalker movie
I love the man and dog
It’s the “Man and Dog Show”. There’s actually a documentary on how this dude and his friends refurbished it and a lot of what you see is left over from their refurbishment.
28 year old kid
@@Toaster003 edited. Happy?
@@allcapsROB lol I was happy already, if you ever meet him you’d know that “28 year old kid” actually fits his description really well lol
@@Toaster003 LOL I saw the documentary, you definitely have to be a kid at heart to put the kind of dedication he did into repairing them
@@allcapsROB I saw BOTH documentaries AND met him in person 3 times, so I can confirm. He was literally just watchin the show with me like he has for the past 25 years.
Was that a skeleton of Bootsy Collins in the window?
Either that or Randy savage
I THOUGHT THE SAME THING! LOL
That is an awesome place. Something for everyone . That Dark ride looked terrific. Great adventure .Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
Ocean city NJ is my Family's vacation spot. We go (almost) every year. I've been on Dark Ride several times. I looks like it was refurbished recently and it looks great!
How was the weather?
At first, I thought the Thomas The Train was only for display. Then I said, "I can see The CarpetBagger
riding on it" and there he goes.
Looks so much fun. Weeee!
"Some sort of train.. captain..."
They are called the man and his dog show
God the memories come flooding back. Been over 20 years since I've been there. Used to be scared to death of the monorail lol. Sad to see they have fewer bumper cars. The pile ups we used to have were hilarious
My mom is 57 and she’s still scared of the monorail. She always thinks it’s gonna tip over. She was probably on it ONCE and that was probably a decade ago.
great video
Born and raised in Cape May County. Wildwood in the 1970s was unbeatable, especially Hunt's Pier. Nowadays it' a crap shoot, safety-wise. And there's nothing left from the golden era. I prefer Ocean City boardwalk. Way less riff raff. The indoor spooky golf is top notch.
