The rumored buyer is Sir James Ratcliffe of INEOS.
One correction in your fine video- the Mexican road race was called La Carrera PanAmericana (not Pan America) -which was meant to publicize the new north-south highway of the same name. (And that's where Porsche got the Carrera name as well.)
