So only one note in the left hand is really needed and the right hand does the heavy lifting?
I'm investing in a better quality digital piano that has guitar tones to learn this method. I do play guitar as well but some things are limited for me with the lack of finger use in my left hand so I'm hoping I can accomplish some song that are traditionally guitar and apply them to piano.

There are some differences when you play guitar style on a keyboard versus playing a real guitar. These techniques are to add flavour to your playing. To sound more authentic, you need to get better sounds with more advanced keyboards and learn the finesse in the technique. Some of this is covered in our course on our website - www.musicpandit.com
