What did I pick up from eBay? Kenner-tastic Azrael and Azbat figures for my KnightsEnd collection...

Initially I found it quite difficult to find Azrael figures, but these fell in my lap from around the era of the comic and while one is a bit meh the other is actually quite a cheap display piece...

Oh the joys and pains of being a DC toy collector in the 90s. I have that red Azrael Kenner one, it's kind of ironic that it has a play gimmick when you squeeze its legs together (slices up and down with the flaming sword) which this line's figures all had as some kind of homage the Kenner Super Powers figures but managed to lose the knee articulation along the way. This is bringing back all the painful memories of the awful Total Justice line which epitomised the dynamic pose/zero play value style that was all you got until DC Direct/Diamond Select started doing toys.

I don't mind the McFarlane stuff but my issue is the size.... I preferred the old dc classics figures as they are same scale as the Marvel legends.... but in that range was a great az bats figure , the later version with the flame thrower arm ..... also the bane build a figure was pretty great too.... along with the reign of the supermen figures

I really liked the artwork for that issue too. It was a great piece of storytelling.
