Why do so many of these pundits predict that England will win? They've been scraping by in most of the tournamentin an easy side of the draw. It was only against the Netherlands that they decided to wake up and it was against a weak Netherlands.
Meanwhile Spain has been convincingly beating the powerhouses. They comfortably beat Croatia, Italy, France, and Germany . They also destroyed a confident Georgia was playing their best ever football.
Spain is the obvious favorite.

I strangely feel confident England can win. I think people are going way overboard predicting Spain will win easy. England have far more quality than Germany and far more deadly upfront than France. For the whole tournament England have played teams who defended in a low block except Holland for the first half and when England players had more space they looked the best they had played the whole tournament. Spain play open attacking football and the England team will get more space and England is built for counter attacking football. If Spain give the chances to England they gave Germany and France, they could conceded many goals.

I can assure you that any team England faced at these Euros will have been relieved that player that dominated the last Euros with his breath-taking performances for England was not on England's team sheet and so we have played games in which not one team we faced feared our attack at any point in our matches, before and after our substitutions. Every team has faced our attacks before and after substitutions with an air of calm and confidence in this Euros, but did not have the attacking weapons to harm us. In Spain, we have a different challenge because this team does have the attacking weapons to harm us, so if their defense too deals with our attack calmly, the result is likely to be very different. Things don't look good, but it's a final so let's just watch and pray for an England win. But I think the Sterling clones Spain has brought into their teams having seen the effectiveness and multitude of weapons a dribbling, speedy, high scoring and assist providing winger gives you in a normal attack or counter attack is going to be the difference. This new style of winger created by Pep and Sterling using Sterling's qualities has just too many weapons to defend against and to have them on both wings as Spain do and England could have had and were terrifyingly expected by other countries to do with Sterling and Saka when Saka improved to the level he is today, is going to be a very haunting challenge to deal with. 1 month ago, all favourites were England, France, Germany and Portugal, in that order. Spain was supposed to not do it in the group stage, or do it as far as round of 8 as best.

Not sure what you've been reading or watching but over here in England, England have be slated left,right and centre. The English media have been destroying Southgate and his players. How bad they have been throughout the competition. Every English fan here has been saying how easy our route has been and how Spain has been the best team. Southgate is a poor manager and doesn't know how to coach our players. Not sure what you've been watching. Maybe it's been lost in translation for you.

I understand that media role is to cheer up the pre-final mood, but let's keep our feet on the ground. I'm concerned that if England wins (possible but very unlikely) all the criticism will be forgotten, and the worst of choices will be taken: to keep Southgate as manager.
These Euro has shown us that european football is entering in a new phase, with renewed Spain and Germany. That will probably motivate France, Italy, Portugal, etc to also evolve. England has a formidable team, but they really need to keep up with this new phase ahead, and GS is not the best choice for that task, even if he wins the final.
