  • Journey inside a fox den full of baby cubs! These incredibly rare kit fox cubs are protected by their grandma - but will they be able to survive their strange suburban environment?
The San Joaquin kit fox, a tiny predator weighing just over two kilos, is one of the rarest creatures in the world. In this special, we follow the trials and tribulations of a brother and sister growing up in a dangerous world. This is a rags-to-riches story in which one sibling stays in the country, struggling to make a living, while the other is drawn to the bright lights of the city.

The kit fox is the smallest fox native to North America, its closest living relative is the swift fox, both species are classified within the genus Alopex, which most closely relates both species to both the corsac fox of the Himalayas and the arctic fox of the North Pole, members of the genus Alopex are called white foxes, there are four extant species within the genus Alopex, the Corsac Fox (Alopex corsac), the Arctic Fox (Alopex lagopus), the Swift Fox (Alopex velox), and the Kit Fox (Alopex macrotis).

@tw1nkie_da.star!, the fennec fox is not native to North America, also, the genus the fennec fox belongs to is Fennecus, which contains over six extant species: the Bengal Fox (Fennecus bengalensis), the Blanford's Fox (Fennecus cana), the Ruppell's Fox (Fennecus rueppellii), the Fennec Fox (Fennecus zerda), the Pale Fox (Fennecus pallidus), and the Cape Fox (Fennecus chama).

Need foxes in my city. Squirrels and rabbits have taken over and destroyed the parks.
