First time fiddling with a slide carb in person today so i just had my own adventure this afternoon.
    TL;DR
    1. Slide is keyyed to fit on only one way, have it in backwards and it'll be wide open throttle
    2. Wind your idle screw all the way out and check the slide closes then wind it back in until you can just start to see daylight thru the slide
    3. Check your choke cable isn't frozen like mine was and that its in the off position when tuning, the bike heats up really quickly when it starts running
    4. Check your throttle opens the slide all the way open and snaps all the way shut or until it hits the idle screw adjustment sticking out
    5. Wind in the idle screw half a turn until it starts to pop and try several times with each adjustment to verify your findings, go too much to quick and have a runaway when you least ecspect it and have the off switch handy
    6. Once its warm/hot and running it should have a pretty low idle, and pulling the choke when cold should result in it starting in high idle, then backing off the choke should gradually back off to a low idle

To fix the float you can cover it with a thin layer of epoxy this will stop the absorption of the fuel.

That needle seat on mine i couldn't get out idk why. I took off the plate. Either way ordering a whole new carb for 20$ since the rebuild kit was like 3 dollars less. Took apart the carb and cleaned it 2 times. Still leaks gas out the overfill tube. Same problem you had.

Old used bicycle cables just became more valuable 😅
This is where we wish all floats were made of brass.

Great video. Wish I’d have seen it before I put a rebuild kit in mine last weekend. What size and brand tires are you running on that 4 wheeler? Mine are bald and I like the look of those a lot. Thanks!

How does the “w” clip in the slide go for the throttle cable. My throttle cable keeps coming out, the slide has damage on sides so I’m just ordering new carburetor but when I took off spring out of slide the w clip was on side of spring.. is that right???
