  • "Sombody to Love" was a big hit for the Jefferson Airplane, kicking off the famous Summer of Love in 1967. The song, written by Darby Slick, actually dates back a year earlier, when it was performed by Grace Slick and her band at the time called Great Society. Grace Slick (Darby Slick's sister-in-law) took the song with her when she went to Jefferson Airplane a few months later and the rest is history.
This version is by the Rockits, featuring Robin Brown on lead vocals. It was recorded in 4K video on August 5, 2016, at Mason District Park in Annandale, Virginia. It was shot using three cameras: a Panasonic LX100 (wide shot), Panasonic GX8 (lead vocal close-up) and Panasonic ZS100 (all other close-ups).
