- This is four of the US Navy Sea Chanters chorale, singing a string of big hits from lesser-known acts from the 1960s. In order, the songs are: Hang On Sloopy (The McCoys); Happy Together (The Turtles); Bend Me Shape Me (American Breed); Cherish (The Association); Lightnin' Strikes (Lou Christie); Five O'Clock World (The Vogues); and Good Lovin' (The Rascals).
This was performed on August 22, 2018, at Mason District Park in Annandale, Virginia.

Can’t underestimate the talents of the USNavy sailors. I was married to one and I am a mother of a Navy Seal! I’m very proud of them! Happy Memorial Day 2020!
Bravissimi👍👍👍👍👍
God bless you for your support of the military. I'm a proud Air Force wife/mother.
God bless you and all our military.
luv life Thank you so much and God bless you, too.
Navy wife for twelve years here. Best years of my life 😁
I've see these gentlemen before on TV and I think they're better than anything on American Idol!!!
That goes without saying!
How could anyone hear this great music and watch these young Naval Officers sing without feeling a smile come to their face? So cheering!
Just to be clear, these singers are all enlisted sailors, not officers.
AnnandaleArts okay, thanks!
@@AnnandaleArts thank you for setting the record straight. The highest rank I have seen so far is Chief Petty but I think I caught a glimpse of a Senior Chief in the band.
Americasdream12 the tenor with the dark hair, second from your left, is Senior Chief Michael Belinkie. He enlisted in 2002.
@@zoowriter4654 thank you very much I guess I didn't see him. I would think it would take a very long time to make the rank of Senior Chief in their job field. I retired from the Navy in 2016 with just over 26 and a half years but my job field had a higher turn over I assume than the music field. Not taking anything away from these people I loved seeing them perform when I was a Sailor and since I retired.
Real singing with clear diction & talent !!!!!! Those fools on those so called talent shows should take some free advice from watching these truly talented entertainers. G'day from Australia.
Agree 100%! Music like this was always fun to sing & dance to, without all the filthy language & vulgarity, & you could actually understand the words they were singing! Not much out like it any more, sad to say.
Amen to that!!
Put them on America's Got Tallent! They would win for sure!
No crotch grabbing, no gang signs, no profanity, ACTUAL TALENT!!!

@@martabajkov2871hahaha, agreed
These are my guys. I am a retired CPO, having done 31 yrs. Spent 4 yrs in D>C> My roommate was a chief musician and a marine.
I will be 90 next year enjoy these young men singing. Makes my day. THANK YOU
Brings back my childhood memories. All I can say is wow I enjoyed this
My Dad served in The US Navy. God bless you All and God bless America. Amen 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
As Usual, that was amazing
What can I say,,, these guy's are great. From one sailor to another.
This is incredible, these guys weren't around in the '60's and they sound like the hits. Bravo. I was, I'm 67.
Music you get from Annapolis is either profoundly solemn or quite humorous. Be sure to listen to the Navy Hymn.
Some very good hits, great times!
I'm 77, USN 62 - 66. Lived that music! Great times!
Good music last for generations USN 1990-2016
I agree. I too am 67 and loved their whole presentation. Takes m back
Not only talented singers and performers, but they are members of the best Navy in the world. Awesome job and thank you all for your service!!!!!
Born 1949; graduated 1967. These songs were my teenage years. Great memories.
Well said....thank u for yr service
Navy talent that shows their dedication and advertised the service for what it is! A brotherhood!!
These were my developing years but I remember this music so well. My parents played this music all the time. My cousin was in the Navy Band. So proud of that group!
God Bless them all! Made my night! Voices and songs right on!
If "my" Naval guy could sing like that (or, at all) my life would be sublime!!! We've been married over 50 years now and I've accepted that he sings as badly as I do! So now I have these fellows to sing to me! Thanks, gentlemen
Londa Warren 55 yrs for me and my guy. He sang with Blue Jacket Choir in Boot. They would have kept in the choir after but poor guy couldn’t read music.
Linda Warren met my guy in '68 when I was 16. Had my 2 kids to him and quickly discovered he wasn't right. Tried to strangle me so had to get rid aged 24. He was 5 years older but a narcissist with temper problems. I have wonderful grandchildren now and they are very much part of my life.xxx
@@janeyd5280 I'm sorry. My brother married his sweetheart when they were sixteen. Now they've been married for fifty- three years this coming Sept. 9th. Both of them together are better than their two individual parts.
Best tax payer money spent!
Wow, young people enjoying good music! Makes my heart happy.
These sailors were very good. Brought back memories of these 60's songs.
I am 73 and I just want to thank The US Navy Sea Chanters while I have to remain indoors for the Covid19.
Helen Renault Hope you stay safe & avoid getting COVID-19!
Hello, fellow Boomer (I am 72). The 60's were my high school and college years. When I hear these songs so well done, I am reminded of those years, both pleasant and scary (think JFK, Bobby, Martin, and Vietnam). Helen, bless you and STAY WELL.

I’m only 17. Question. What’s the worst political moment thats ever happened to you while you’ve been alive?
puxa Helen REnault !!! que pena !!!! melhoras para voce
I'm 73 too loved this music so many good memories
I was a kid during the 60's and this brings back days of being outside listening to the transistor radio and just singing along. This was a wonderful blast to the past. Great job guys.
Yep and playing the old 45s pretending I was a DJ. Such simple days!
same here late 60's early 70's. Always my favorite music
I'm 63. When I was a kid during the sixties, I also had a transistor radio. Many kids carried these small radios with them, almost everywhere. Sort of like cell phones today.
I can relate to all the oldies as I'm an oldie myself.
I so so agree!
At 70 just married my dream man. He’s 58 - was a Lieutenant and proud of his brief career- served on the Midway. Wasn’t born until 1960! But he can sing! I’m playing this for him as soon as he gets home! Excellent.
Hey Nancy Hicks still hope for us experienced women.
Ok..this just showed up on my feed. My daddy retired as a reserve Captain. We lost him in '97. He would have played piano for you! God bless you!
Yes
Saw the picture and had to check out the video. Never heard of them before--they're great ! cute, and LOVE those navy whites ! YEAH, BABY ! Eye candy !
All we need is Wolfmen Jack!
Wolfman Jack was one of a kind! With a voice & show that was unforgettable!
I love watching and listening to these guys! Music from my days.
As an old man these songs never get old to me. What Great memories.
Larry Early I’m not old, but I agree-these songs never get old. And even better, they’re clean(not like a lot of the stuff that’s just plain filthy/vulgar out today) & soooo much fun!!! I love music like this!
Have to smile 😁 so enjoyable, cute (& inspiringly unpretentious)
Impressive falsetto 🎶😀!
My dad was a Navy man. He passed in December from covid. He was 85. Thanks for your service
Very impressive. Well done GO NAVY!

@@nancylucky9361 Yes I love this. Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons (who Jersey Boys is based on) has always been a favorite of mine.
Whose listening to these 50's & 60's oldies classics uring the Covid-19 i & n June of 2020 pandemic while in quarantine at home while reminiscing about the good old days when life sure was much simpler and better than nowadays ; I' sure am for I was born in 68! & love those old's when I was 2 years old in 1968 my older brother was 16 years old then & would smilingling look at me dancing & singing to these songs as I had begun to talk in sentences when I was relatively young before 1 year old . This sure is a fantastic way to keep yourself entertained amused and busy while listening to the oldies classics of the 50' ' s & 60' s music which had more meaning as real human emotions( FEELINGS & effort & ŕythymic dance movements were added into the songs and music to make the songs that more enjoyable and soothing to listen to as it was quite expressive emotionally and full of human FEELINGS and sentiments with awesome facial expressions to make it that more meaningful and entertainni g and enjoyable to listen to.
I am here, just loving this❣❣❣❣❣
Spent my early Teenage years with ALL. These Songs!!!!! Can't even pick a favorite -- then, pow, Wow -- next I knew it was Santana , Hey Jude and I Can't Find NO Satisfaction..... thanks for the memory😊

The first tenor is amazing!
Although I was young in the 60’s, (born in 1957) I grew up listening to my parent’s records of these hits, and love them still. Great era for music!
Me, too - born in 56 - the best time for music and dancing!
I love each and every one of these songs. Remember them blasting on the radio as we drove to the beach in Santa Cruz. Great to listen to as well as dance to.
they are simply fabulous and superb! God bless and keep them all safe!
Ty for doing these songs, memories from my childhood, I'll be 65 soon.

The little guy has the voice!
Actually they all do
Hey now, these songs weren't from "lesser-known acts." Anybody who lived through the 60's knew these groups and had their records.
I love every one of these songs, and this talented quartet smashed it. Well done, guys! 👏👏👏👏

Oh wow 💕 so captivating and lively. I am a 70s baby yet this music is another class altogether. Good old music never dies! 💘 💘
I watched the entire show. Loved every second. Am 75 and just woke up 3am, put on you tube and found this it was wonderful.
LOVE these guys!!! Nothing better than cute guys who can sing in Navy whites!
Jane Stewart Have to agree with you! I love a man in military dress whites! Dad was career military, retired as an E-9 Master Chief after 23 years in the Navy, & he was a darn good-looking man, esp. in his dress whites!
@@JaimeDornanLadywow, it took me 24 plus years to make E-9 master chief. I don't know what career field you dad had but I was in Naval Special Warfare Development Group. I loved the Navy life and I think any sailor that puts 20 years in the navy has to love it. I like wearing the Navy Whites but I also like the Navy blues too. Whites are very hard to keep clean.
I’m a baby boomer born in 1946 after my daddy came home from being in the South Pacific WWII, I love the Navy too. I grew up being dressed in so many sailor dresses and coats. Wore lots of Navy Blue. I love this music, you guys are so good!
Well those in Marine Blues are pretty hot too 😉
AlohaLivin Let’s face it any guy in uniform is pretty darn cute. I wonder if they know how appealing they are
Sheer fun! These guys are fabulous!
They sing better than someone I know, but better and they are gorgeous, go Navy.
These guys are really really good, that's my kind of music. My husband was in the navy but couldn't sing like them. Were 74 an still love the oldies!! From Wisconsin!!
OMG !!! THIS TOOK ME BACK TO MY TEEN YEARS AND HAPPY TIMES.!!!
had me crying it brought back so many wonderful memories!! I graduated in 1968. These songs were so much of my life then .

Happy 4th of July. Navy setting the standard in 2021.
Watching these guys is so much better than TV I'm so proud to be a Navy wife . Been watching the Navy band all morning just found them for the first time
I was on the Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier in Norfolk Virginia for a tour and I went all over probably in parts I wasn't supposed to be and was lost until a pilot showed me how to get out and we both hit our heads on the low pipes,so funny! So much fun. We laughed so loud that it echoed everywhere. He showed me the bubble pit that shows the runway. The ship is like a mini city with a huge shopping mall inside. I did modeling pictures in swimsuits and the ships aviators (my friends)pinned up my pictures on the ship for everyone to see, and my friends would call me and sing "loving Feeling" and "Love Is On The Way" and more to me from overseas just to wake me up 😂I recorded it and I still have it today. They always called to sing to me. You guys remind me of them but you guys sing better 🤣 Y'all are AMAZING!! I love older songs. I wish I could see all of my friends again. We were inseparable with great times we all had. God Bless you all and your beautiful families and thank you all for keeping us safe. Please stay safe .....I SALUTE you all. .... Your moms & dads & families are proud of you all, and so are we 🇺🇸🙏
I love the Navy ~ you all are great I'm 64 ~ the best music I've found on the internet ~ you guys are a team and so harmonious
From a Royal Air Force ex-serviceman, you have talent in a abundance. Spent a couple of years working with the U S Navy. Top guys!
My wish before I die is to see you guys singing in person. Thank you for sharing your gods given talents. God bless you.
I hope you are able to get that chance. I saw them this past December for the very first time at their Christmas concerts. Not only are they wonderful singers they are also wonderful gentlemen as well. I had the opportunity to meet and talk with 3 of these 4 Sailors along with several of the Sea Chanters and Navy Band members.
Be in DC on the fourth.

Amazing!! They're singing these songs like the original artists and these navy guys weren't even born yet. I remember when every one of these songs came out. Thanks for the memories guys 💙
People need to realize how much work goes into a great performance such as this. They are excellent singers, but lots and lots of practice, plus musical education. That is why they are so perfect in their performances. GO NAVY BAND.

My eldest brother was called for interview for possible enlistment in the US NAVY station at olongapo subic zambales way back in the 60s.
He travelled more than 10 hours to reach the area only be told.."you are too old the navy, boy!"..when in fact he only received his letter the other day..he was so frustrated. he is now a retired teacher and still plays the saxophone well..the nice video just brought some memories for our family.thanks!

Happy Memorial Day 2021. As a former AFRT, I played this music while station in Crete, Greece. The song Cherish I played while in the Seminary at Saint Francis Seminary in Milwaukee, Wisc in the late 60’s. Way to go guys.
