His voice was beautiful and touched people tremendously - male and female - black - white - all colors. The tragedy is that the world lost the great Luther far too soon. Luther Vandross and Nat Adderley Jr what a team that made great music that just won't die!!!!! His musical genius has stood the test of time with all his albums going platinum! My only regret is not being able to see him in concert!

I was intrigued and later concerned with his weight changes. But the magic in eyes never changed. He came alive singing for people. Pure joy, delight and surprise (at his own improvisations, like he didn't know what was going to happen).. He just transmitted joy an love when he sang.

Its interesting to see Luther's interaction with his female fans... it was like a big game, they loved his music and he embraced his core audience. Sure many women would've wanted a chance but i'm sure they all respected him and knew he was just having fun, playing for them. He didn't try to take em' home, you know seduce them. He just understood them, appreciated them. Women felt the same way about him.
