fucking hell thank you for this amazing quality! the best version of this show i've seen thus far. Love how there are now so many amazing shows to watch from the start of his career with judas priest, his solo stuff with fight, 2wo and halford all the way up to the epic shows from the firepower tour last year! hell i personally enjoy listening to all the bootlegs than the actual albums cause you get so many great versions of all the songs from different eras, and in some instances live is even better than the albums for me
yeah he struggled with his voice (sounded strained to me) until late 2011. No clue why cause he did have amazing shows throughout all those years albeit there were some really bad ones mixed in there too. From what i have read, and not a clue if true he went through some vocal changes starting around 2004 + he was apparently sick during some parts of the 2005 and 2008 tour with judas priest. i saw them a few shows into their epitaph tour in 2011 and looking back it sounded real rough to me but (again this is to me). later in 2011 it seemed like he had found the sweet spot in his vocals and not nearly as strained as before and ever since then i've been surprised each year with the shows and songs they've pulled out of the vault. Personally the song that surprised me the most on their firepower tour was freewheel burning (+ a whole heap of rarities) cause it was played at the proper speed compared to the 2009 version which is really heavy sounding but much slower in tempo. Maybe his recent back surgery and hernia operation removed some discomfort and gave back some energy? but yea sounded strained to me before but doesn't anymore. but who knows cause these are just my random thoughts :P
Steeler I think he stopped smoking at some point too. I think the back surgery helped too...he could barely move on some Priest tours in the ‘00s and early ‘10s.

Solo es cosa de comparar la reacciones del público en cada tema de este live y son las mismas que aparecen en el album. Y luego de escuchar grabaciones de todo el tour en ningún otro lado la gente cantó como acá.

@ Soy amigo de Pat Lachman, el audio no es de Chile. El cover art si es la bandera de Chile. El live insurrection es un live studio salvo 3 temas que son en vivo en UK. Nadie canto las guitarras lead de Made in Hell en Chile (estuve ahi el 2001). Lamentablemente no es el audio del publico de Chile.

The fuck Rob doesn't just tour with a similar lineup like this and call it Halford again is beyond me. I'd rather hear and see a couple of hours of him playing Priest classics and his own heavy shit with Fight and Halford than to see the current version of Judas Priest. With all due respect to Ian Hill and Scott Travis, It would be more honest. I bet most true Priest fans would agree. I hope KK tours America too.
Well, when he lost his voice in 2002 after recording Crucible and interest to see him as a solo artist went down drastically and he went back to Priest. Even Lachman left in 2003 and Ray as well. I think Rob played with fire when recording Resurrection and touring it. He tried so hard to make a remarkable comeback that he blew his pipes in 2 years. This said it was probably the best 2 years of a metal singer in history and I was lucky enough to be there in 2001 when he was at his absolute best this night. I could not believe what I was hearing. I think if Rob could have sang and recorded like this for 10 years the Halford band would have gone to fill Arenas.

Tenia que llegar un judas priest cuenteando, obviamente no estuviste ahi, yo si estuve, y recuerdo los insultos para que Halford se fuera luego, y ver a Maiden, le gritaban; "andate pelao weco, weco culiao!... Maiden, Maiden! etc", al punto que unos pocos fanboys de Judas Priest que habian, estaban con los ojos llorosos de enojados por los insultos a Halford. Por eso cuando más aplaudimos a Halford fue cuando al fin se fue, ya que con eso al fin concluirian lo entuertos en la cancha, y sobre todo al fin podriamos ver a Maiden que era lo que todos estabamos esperando. Tal fue la euforia en los minutos previos para ver a Maiden que se cortó el cable de sonido, la gran calidad del sonido de los ingenieros de Maiden, la disfruto Halford. Desde esto, desde el bulling a Halford que a los judas priest beliebers les entra aji en el culo con el nombre de los más grandes IRON MAIDEN, y repiten como ñoñas belieber celosas; "Jalfor estuvo y sonó mejor" jajajaj "sonó" mejor por lo explicado, pero jamás será mejor que los más grandes como Motorhead, Maiden o Sabbath. La música de Judas Priest o Halford es una sobrevalorada solo por una minoría de ñoños amantes del glam, por algo cuando Halford vino solo el 2010, no fue nadie a verlo, y el Velodromo estuvo vacio, lo mismo el 2008 cuando vinieron Judas solos y el Movistar también estuvo vacío.
Y Paul Di Anno solo siempre se culeó y trapeaba el piso con Judas, y eso todos lo han dicho, hasta Kerry King en That Metal Show lo dijo. Mucho más Bruce Dickinson, escucha un solo album de Bruce como Accident of Birth, aplastantemente superior a la discográfica completa y para la risa de Judas y Halford juntos.
