I miss the full argyle livery they had briefly at the beginning of the new regs. It’s too bad that they quickly basically completely dropped it to save weight.
I never understood why people complain that liveries look similar year after year. Isn't it the point to be easily recognisable?
I do agree with your point but I think another thing is that people think the livery can be improved, like alpine, its recognizable but its not very pretty looking
@@camtheman4703 of course, but not all teams are in that situation.. thankfully.
I think you can blame Red Bull and their testing liveries.
I shall complain if Ferrari red.
I agree. Its one thing to practically br8ng the exact same livery like red bull, but williams had a decent amount of changes, they just kept it similar enough to be recognizable.
As a williams fan, i think it looks very nice, lots of sponsors shows james vowles has got people on board with the future of the team and its direction
Yep, especially getting an old sponsor from the 90s to come back EVEN BIGGER than before.
@@LawVS With Williams on the up swing I hope that Albon stays at Williams.
All the rumours of the RB offer, I hope its wrong or he turns it down.
I would even understand if Albon went to Merc, but I think staying with Williams when their on the upswing is a no brainer.
They now have investment,, A damn good team leader that cut his teeth under Toto and currently hes the lead driver of Williams. Granted Crastifi wasnt much competition but IF your in a team n your the #1 as they climb I would stay put.
As for the livery, it kind of says to me, Yo man...we back!!
So? We can expect Williams being more consistent in 2024?
As a former Arkansan I was thrilled to see Stephens Inc.'s logo on the Williams cars last year.
@@mannacler Williams has a bright future... hope they can fight again for upper mid-field positions...
Komatsu sponsored Williams even though he leads haas already lack of loyalty lol
Ayoooo! 😂
@@innoc3ntbystndrhis money needs to invest in something that’s actually showing results.
@@innoc3ntbystndryes ayo indeed, ayo komatsu. Lmao
I feel like I'm being held captive in a loft when I watch these videos, but at least the captor comes up and gives me F1 updates now and again.
The livery is slick and sober. I love the pin striping and the Duracell intake is becoming emblematic. The new race suits are nice, cooler. Dark suits are really "heavy" in hot climates. The white is a brilliant offset to the car. I would have liked to see the pin striping inn the driving suit though. Lets hope they keep up the progress they started last year.
The duracel intake is very a very nice and creative idea!
I hadn't even thought of it before you said it but you're right, the suits would look even better with a red piping. Would've really set it off perfectly, I suspect. Then again, I still wear clothes that are older than my daughters, so what do I know of fashion?! 😅
Yep. It's a nice and dapper livery that fits Williams.
The livery is fine. But what made me excited was how Albon was talking about driving the car. He genuinely seemed happy with what he has seen so far. 💪
They really needed more downforce and they focused on adding that for more than half of last season, not upgrading the FW45 post Silverstone. When I spent the Las Vegas race with the team in their Paddock Club they made a big point of that.
Yeah he knows it's his team and he's making waves as are Logan and James.
@@LawVS Logan needs a huge step up this year in performance. I think the car is going to be a lot easier to drive with a lot more down force. Last year’s FW45 was very hard to drive especially for a rookie.
My rating is 7/10
It’s similar to that special livery they ran for the 800th GP they raced. Wish there was more white.
It's not too shabby.
When are we going to see sponsors on your ladder????!! 👀👀
That would be too crass.
Duracell said that they're two tones for Logan's number and the number of lines of Alex's number. They're such a supportive partner of Williams and its great to see others join them.
How are you so quick with these videos, bro? Without ever compromising quality. You're a beast
Practice. Lots of practice.
ACK! Can’t believe how excited I get when you release a new video! Lol. I have to be honest with you, I’m digging the way Williams is coming back. I love the new livery, kit and overalls. I’m SO glad they didn’t change font/typeface and, I LOVE James Vowles at the helm. I miss the hell out of Claire but, Vowles is fierce and tenacious and is going to bring Williams up the grid.
I'm all in on Albono this year. Impressed me a lot last season. Seems very competent and fun and yet an underdog driving for a likeable team on the up. My type of guy to root for.
Yeah he's found himself this last year.
I saw so many people in the live stream call it 'mid' and even giving ratings like 1/10, but I disagree. It's like an evolution of the 2023 livery.
8/10 for me
Yeah agreed. I think they were expecting yet another design instead of an evolution.
Looking very clean livery
And Albon looks like he means business for this year 👹
Albono to Mercedes in 2025 please!
@@alimantado373Mich Schumacher is a shoo-in for the Mercedes in '25.
Yep. He got leagues of confidence last year and now he can build on it.
your the only youtuber i watch daily, keep it up
I love the white race suits way more then the livery itself
They managed to make it work. Think all the sponsors on it helped. Might be why its white, want to show they have lots now.
Like the 2000s suits.
I used to not lay a thought on Williams, but after Alexander came Williams is slowly becoming one off my favorite teams.
Blue isn't really a colour i find beautiful, but I must say the Williams car looks pretty decent and i really like the white racesuits.
I was kinda hoping they would run with the heritage livery all year.
Yeah his arrival helped start the trend upwards.
I feel that in a few years, Williams will be a serious contender to Ferrari, McLaren, RB, Merc
It's what they used to be in the past. Only makes sense to have them back in the mix again.
Certainly a consistent midfield contender.
Williams Komatsu MyProtein Duracell FW46 has a nice ring to it
You must’ve been right about Williams low-key testing the reactions to the new logo
I think so. Once they didn't use it for their new profile picture it seemed like they halted the new logo at the last minute due to negative audience feedback. Shame really it was quite a bold logo.
The ownership of Dorilton has been great for Williams so far. I hope they maintain this upward momentum.
Yeah they've been a great boost for them and reforged their place in F1.
Its good to see that Williams are getting healthy again. I would hate to loose them especially as they are a historical team. Also the new team is very likeable
Yeah this is a nice evolution from 2023.
I was waiting for this video and it didn't disappoint. I like the livery but not to crazy about the racing suites. I think the Duracell is the best sponsor placement of any on the grid.
Busy night for you, reactions to Sauber and Williams in one day!
The drive gear and the livery give me a more 90s-2000s vibe.
Was really hoping for light blue but looks pretty good
At least the blue is more uniform.
After watching the Rolex 24 and all of its different liveries F1 needs to take some notes. As a DTS convert I enjoy your channel but you might want to evaluate Indy Car and WEC liveries as well.
I'll certainly take a look at them more.
I'm loving the new livery. Dark blue replacing the light blue will need some time to get used to, but I'm fairly sure I see some purple-ish highlights on the back wing (which, if you cant tell by my pfp, I LOVE) so yeah, super excited. Not too big of a fan of the merch at all, so I'll probably stick to last year's Sargeant cap, but yeah, very happy they didnt change the branding at all in terms of the logo.
This seems a lot more cohesive than last year.
Another detail I think you'll appreciate, there is a nod to the original Frank Williams Racing logo on the engine cover. It wasn't really visible in the video, but there are some photos from the New York car launch event where it is quite clear.
Yep saw that and mentioned it. Very classy.
Looks good. I love white race suits, really gives me a classic vibe. Looks good hope they improve this season.
Looks like the 2004/2005 Williams suits
@@LawVS or the 09s I kinda thought.
I like the livery 2nd or 3rd best for me so far. It's basically an evolution of last year's livery and I like it. I think tht will be Williams's colour scheme from now on dark blue white and red and love the overalls aswell
Yeah and I like it. It's smart and I'm happy to see sponsors
@@LawVS yea I will admit I think they need slightly more white jus on the wings but apart from tht looks good and would go with the overalls aswell
Everyone during testing: "oh no we can't tell much from these results, everyone has a different run plan and we don't really know what everyone else is doing, we won't have a clue on the pecking order until the first grand prix weekend"
Haas even before testing: "we give up already"
I wonder how they want to attract sponsors with that sort of attitude, like they're probably right but this really isn't helping matters or team morale in the slightest.
I think they were trying to be pragmatic... But instead it came off as pessimistic.
There was a Kodak or Canon livery years ago in maybe CanAm that had film loading on the hood into the air intake. The Duracell kind of reminds me of that.
That's cool!
Williams had always been my favorite team. Love seeing them getting back on their feet slowly but surely
And now has a consistent design
@@LawVS true!
The only thing I don't like about it is the old logo, I really liked the logo you covered a couple of weeks ago. Like you, I love the placement of the Duracell sponsor and I like the Gulf logos on the shoulders of the racing suit.
Feels like they changed it back at the last minute after their "leak". Optics probably weren't good enough to proceed with.
I love the white race suits, The car is good, Sponsors are a little scattered but atleast they have some.
6/10 I think, It’s good but not great, Clean but still some improvements to be made
They look like 2000s Williams suits.
Watched the high performance podcast with James Vowles recently, gives a good insight of what he is about and what his goals are for Williams and seeing more sponsors on their car this year shows that he is the right man in charge imo
I need to catch up with that. Thanks!
It doesn’t look like a backmarker anymore. It just gives me midfield vibes
Yep and that's deliberate
I’m happy that they finally got sponsors this could mean that they might finally bee fighting for good points like top 5 if I’m being optimistic
Or at least they have general support and don't look like a backmarker.
I really like this livery. Hopefully they can keep their upward performance swing going to match their upward style swing.
Yeah it's quite smart.
I think this is a lovely livery. Takes the (in my view) solid concept of the past 2 liveries and really gave it some "racing stickers" to make it pop and show of its curves while not going overboard... unlike some KICK themed liveries....
It's smart and Williams demonstrating they finally have some kind of design language.
I am a williams fan so may be biased but its best livery purely because of the duracell still being there
Yeah that was a great addition.
No, I was *GOING* to say "hello, ladder man! we meet again to talk about something I have no idea mattered so much, but I like your voice"
It's an incremental upgrade, but a welcome one. Honestly, as long as they still have the Duracell scoop, how can they ever do wrong? Wishing Logan his best for this year.
I'm glad Williams has now got a consistent design.
Cant wasit to see how well the car goes!
Hopefully it'll be better in corners.
It's a livery. It's not great but also not bad.
This would look so much better with more white in it.
However I do like Williams trying to get brand recognition.
Love that we stilm have the Duracell battery.
Also loce Williams having morw sponsors, Vowles is doing a very good job if you ask me they even got Puma
I think we might more evolutions next year but at least there's some kind of brand image.
Amazing how a move from P10 to P7 helps to increase the sponsor count. The livery is a clean and classy look.
And I'm glad that Williams has a brand image finally after years of changing it up.
@@LawVS that is what strong leadership will do to a team. Williams has very strong leadership and strong ownership now.
Looks very fine, I prefer 2023's, but is very similar, which in this case is good. Love that Williams is getting more sponsors, hopefully can get more throughout the year. The drivers' uniform look like the 2011 era, which quite does not match with the car, but well, next year will be fancier. Fashionwise, is a little downgrade, but this year will have much more points 😎 James will carry the team up. As a Colombian, Williams will have a spot in my heart 💙🤍 Ave Montoya 💪
It does seem like a refinement of the 23 edition. I'm glad Williams have locked into a design
I genuinely believe that the F1 community really want to see Williams succeed, and regardless of whether you are a Ferrari fan, Mercedes, fan or Red Bull you are really really really pleased to see these guys on the up… I think having James, Alex, and some strategic direction has re-energized the entire Williams family! Looking forward to 2024
They do! Williams has done everything right in the last 12 months.
Whatever the livery might be, I am just super happy they got more sponsors
Yeah they're in much better health.
It's nice, and I think the white overalls are to help them stand out, maybe against Red Bull. But yeah I can't deny it's looking optimistic for Williams
It looks like the old 2000s suits a bit
The thing to look for is their new steering wheel model. Looks like they finally adopted the built-in screen on it
I spotted it just now and that is an end of an era for sure.
One word to describe it: Refined
Agreed. Smart
Very nice livery
Yes quite smart
10/10 just because they cover most of the car in paint.
Honestly though ill give it a 7/10, im not a huge fan of the double big sponsors in the sidepod, and some more white and a bit more red should be added i think
They did good on that front.
Liked the 2021 Williams livery
It was pretty good and I would've been OK keeping it.
Livery looks quite nice I must say. Defo the one I like most so far.
Yeah it's quite smart
The guy in charge of making sure all Pirelli logos are level is in trouble, that rear is clearly tilted forward.
Oops!
ahh, the old ''Frank Williams cars'' arrow logo on the engine cover!
also i nevered noticed the ''Komatsu'' on the 90's car, and i drew that bad boy loads as an 8 year old haha :/ blimey!
Yeah very classy.
Sponsorship by Komastu? So if the car is slow, and people call it a 'tractor', Komatsu will be like 👍
Yeah. They'll poke fun at it for sure.
Glad they kept the Duracell intake.
Me too!
I really hope that Williams get it right next season, and actually compete with the big dogs
I reckon they can be more stable and less needing to defend for their lives.
should be sky blue +- to really pop up :/ or put yellow again, similar to the light blue in their W logo, theres too many dark teams
I see your point there but going too hard on nostalgia is obvious.
the black part of the Duracell battery is not black, its carbon fiber
Still looks dark enough to make the effect work.
they used the new "font" that was thought to be the new logo, during the presentation of their new car. So it's most likely their new corporate font, and the press just made a big fuss about it when they first seen it.
Yeah they've kept it for their typeface but kept the current logo was maintained probably due to audience feedback as you said
I like this livery of the WILLIAMS , brilliantly Donn with adding the little details form the past … a lot better than the Stake Livery , that made me feel a bit ill with the vivid sickly GREEN
Seems very much like a great evolution from last year.
Its the 24 livery on the 23 car ;)
Yes that's what I said
Its Logan rough n ready
He's keen to prove people wrong
Williams hired LawVS for the car livery
I think it actually looks pretty good as I liked last years livery too, but where is their new rebranded logo?
I think they shelved it at the last minute.
Albon looks mean here: OMG!!!
Dangerous look indeed. Logan looks up for it too.
Williams when they finally got more sponsors: “####### Finally!’
Of course. Means they're in good form
I like it. It's definitely better than the lime green monstrosity at Sauber. Blue is my favourite colour :) (Nothing to do with Williams, it's always been my favourite colour.)
At least the green is different!
I like the suits and the car.
As do I. They look smart.
to me still the most beautiful car from the modern ground effect era is latest spec of FW44
Before they stripped paint of course.
@@LawVS not necessarily, even after. There was something about it making it look compact, nimble. I'm not talking just about the livery, the overall car was magnificent
My rating is 8/10 it looks nice with the sponsors and the blue fits well but my downside is the blue line on the top of it
It's more cohesive than last year.
Inb4 the entire season is a 3 way fight for 15th between Sauber, Williams, and HAAS.
I don't think Williams will be that far down.
I find that Komatsu sponsorship funny, considering the team principal of Haas is also Komatsu.
They poked fun at that, Haas.
The two logos on the sidepods being the same size really irks me. The blue is still good and will continue to stand out nicely on the grid. 7/10.
I see what you mean but I think they're technically in different sections.
Their race suit might be the best this year
Yeah it's similar to their 2000s suits.
Didn't know Ayao sponsors Williams
Ha.
I like this years car, I would just like to see more white on the car.
It's good enough as a pinstripe
In all honesty it looks more compact and cleaner than last year
Yeah it's an evolution of that one and Williams finally has a brand language.
I just wish it had a little more Williams branding. It's just on the front of the rear wing.
I think they don't need to overdo it or else it looks too desperate
I like it. For me as a graphic designer with just a touch of OCD, this looks well balanced.
It's moreso than last year.
I just think, like me. They feel the W with the gaps in it, is better as a stand alone badge.
Yeah they probably changed course and kept the current logo.
Slick and sponsors
Yep. Williams look good.
is it just me, or did Albon look about five years younger in the livestream? lol
He's motivated.
@@LawVS No, I think it was the haircut! LOL
It nice looking car and I hope they can keep Albon behind the wheel - square peg, square hole.
Seems like James is not letting him go. Very good stuff.
Filet Mignon when
Done.
I like the livery as well. But in the pictures, the drivers look disappointed 😂
I think they were being serious.
At long last a dark version of the Gulf livery, well a variant of it since its not quite a Gulf livery.
Nice to see the overall composition isn't mostly carbon fibre.
Personally I don't care what Williams looks like. I'm just grateful the name is still associated with F1.....BTW I like it.
Fair enough!
It's definitely nice, honestly I'll take it as long it's not carbon puke, but i still wish more white to match the race suit
Yeah they've made it quite colourful
two Kumatsu in f1 now
Haas did riff on that
Law Peter windsor reporter a couple days ago that Albon is going back to red bull in 2025 with a 3 year contract and he sounded fairly certain of it.
I don't buy it. Vowles has come out and said Alex is theirs for 2025.
Needs more white and yellow.
I think leaning on that is too much on nostalgic.
@@LawVS check out Tommo’s redesign. If it had a yellow pinstripe it would be 👌🏼
Will Duracell duct give extra horse power or electric power
Sorry for the joke😅
It'll just go on and on and on.
I anticipate the Bulls will outscore Williams this season. (I ain't calling them "Visa Cash app Racing Bulls RBPT F1 Team").
I reckon Williams, VCARB and Alpine will be aiming for 6th.
