Is there any slim bumper that can be put on a limited 2018
Not 100% sure. I know you. Can swap to a normal front end on a limited too
What brand/model rock sliders?
Great work, the OEM look just works so well for my liking. With the RTT, you might want to look at a heavier spring in the rear so you can keep that level stance. I installed a pair of Dobinsons on the rear and works well, sits level with the additional weight of the RTT. Great work, would love to see a video on the electrics (SwitchPro?) that controls your accessories . Keep up the work mate!
That bumper is fantastic, gives it an nice esthetic without taking too much away from the 4 runners natural lines. I would consider a bumper like that however, not everyone has access to a master craftsmen like Ryan. When you start cutting into a brand new 60 thousand runner you need to know it’s in good hands lol
Exactly the bumper I have been considering, it looks great. I prefer the OEM look as well. Those lights are ridiculously bright.
Glad you’re showing the T4R some ❤️…it’s a beautiful thing. Not sure if you did this already after having the front lifted more, but make sure the headlights are adjusted back down. Don’t need any reason for the blue lights to show up behind you 😊. Would love to hear how it handles after the alignment.

I have CaliRaised stealth light bar on my 2016 Tacoma since 2016 and it is still super bright. Very useful too when someone cuts you off, even under full FL sun. 🤪

Also, i prefer the look of TRD wheels with the “poke” the spacers provide but understand the issues u may run into with those bigger tires.

Like the tires........I saw a brief frame of this video with 1 of those BridgestoneDueler HT's sitting on the garage floor and I had flashbacks. My 2020 SR5 came stock with those junk tires . I went through a couple winters and dumped those tires with 30k miles on them replaced with some AT snow rated tires and never looked back. Nice video. a joy to watch.😁

Personally I would use Permatex Black Gasket Sealer to seal the gaps on that light bar assembly (carefully), just punch a small whole and do a test run before applying, keep a rag soaked in a bit of vinegar to smooth the rough edges out. Great video and it looks good with the kit. :)

Bug screen on hood is a water trap that leads to rust. Dont forget to take it off frequently and check the area.

Very nice! I have a 2022 and am contemplating doing this. I wanted to run 33 x 12:50 tires instead of the 285s because they are 1.5 inches wider than 285. Just wondering if that would create problems.
Bumper looks good. I am going to have to wait until the new wears off before I do the cut. That may be the leader in the bumper race for me.

Hi Jon! The rig is looking extra sharp! I am wanting to get the GTR lighting headlamp and wanted to see what you think of those compared to the alpharex. I avoided the alpha rex when one of your reviews mentioned that they have a dead space on the far and right in the projection. Does the GTR lighting headlamp have a descent spread?

Any steering wheel shimmy? It seems like with the Tacomas and 4Runners, they are prone to a bit of shimmy when changing from original tire sizes.

My 22 TRD off-road 4Runner has the matte black pro wheel upgrade and the center caps have that red circle around the TRD logo. Any idea on how to get rid of the circle? I don’t mind the TRD logo. I have seen other pro wheels with different center caps with the TRD letters only but I didn’t know if they were a direct replacement for the ones I have. Any suggestions or ideas or if you know where to order the other center caps please let me know. Thanks! 🙏

Looks great, Jon! Thanks for the great video. How is the blue paint on your 4Runner holding up? I'm noticing that the Army Green paint on my 2021 4Runner tends to scratch and scuff fairly easy. Soft paint? Soft clear coat? I've never had to be so careful around any of my previous Tacoma's and 4Runners.
It’s ok. Not the best but I have a good sealant on it.
The 4Runner's only weaknesses are the paint quality and the acceleration. The black paint is a nightmare. You flick it and it scratches it
Really love the bumper and the light bar. But I can’t pull the trigger if it comes at the expense of my TRD skid plate. Or did I hear you wrong

I haven’t. I clean it usually. It’s really dirty right now. I also always keep it in the garage.

I have seen several vidz on lifting the 4runner and bigger tires. What I have not seen is re-gearing to match the tires for better performance. See all the time with other 4x4's are you going to re-gear?

Love the bumper !! Love the look. I question though if you are on the cusp of the TRD wheels and those tires size compatibility for wheel width. I'm thinking this may be the reason people take them off with 285's sometimes...different tire manu's spec different width compatibilities with their tires too. That also seems like a great lift spacer kit. I may look at the bumper for myself later on. Great stuff !
Yea that and those that wanna run a more aggressive offset too to have their tires poke with out spacers.
Which version of the 4bangers did you go with? Are they street legal?

@@angryraylangivens1281 yup but different manufacturers tires spec differently. Not every 285 is recommended for those narrower wheels. Maybe those tires are fine but worth reading what the tire maker says.

Hey Jon. I'm in South Florida. Are their any shops you know of and can recommend down my way that can install these lifts? I should be getting my limited Q1 of 2023 and I don't want to drive to Yota Mafia and put all those miles on just to install a lift.

I know it’s not part of this video but do you think your headlights are worth the money over just replacing bulbs? The looks speak for themselves but specifically performance based. Beam pattern looks good
$800 vs $100 for some decent LEDs is a huge difference in $$. If you're on a budget then I would say just do a good set of LED bulbs
