- This 20 foot long asphalt repair was done using a very durable, and affordable, asphalt- like latex mixcalled Quick patch. You put it down and activate it with water and it dries like cement quickly. Quick Patch is designed to fill holes in your asphalt driveway without the need for a heat gun or fire or the pounding down of a cold patch. You just mix it with water and your done. We cut a trench across our driveway, 3 inches deep, 5 inches wide about 20 feet long to bury in electric line and now we need to repair this section of the driveway with an easy-to-use asphalt repair product.
before you attempt to fill in this area with the patch material, make sure that the sand and dirt and small rocks are leveled off evenly, not too deep, and certainly not too shallow. It’s a good idea to have a wide shovel and a broom handy so you can sweep up excess dirt and rocks to prevent it getting inside the mix.
The black pellets inside the plastic bag are sealed with a wire tie, so you’re gonna need some type of wire cutter to break the wire tie, so you can dump the stuff out. Use a shovel to level it off, and kind of rake it in, helping it seat properly. Get a piece of 2 x 4 and a sledgehammer and help pack it down, 12 inches at a time
So, after leveling it off, and firmly pounding it down, but not too hard, I still need to top off the repaired area with another layer of the water-based asphalt patch mix. - Jak na to + styl
Excellent video.
Thank you for that feedback - Sorry I just read your comments.
Great idea to tamp with the mini-sledge and 2x4!

Good video thanks. I bought a few buckets of this and they were all rock solid blocks in the bag that we had to painstakingly break apart to use. Hope they hold up.
Awesome
