- In this month's edition, we bid farewell to 3642 as it makes its last trip to MossVale in the Southern Highlands of NSW with 3526 doubling. The 36 class loco is retired from hauling main line tour trains as its needed for a much needed overhaul, but will steam on occasional days. During the July School Holidays, the NSW Rail Museum had put on their three 'Models and Miniatures' event at Thirlmere. 4807 from the museum is seen hauling shuttle trains between Thirlmere to Buxton and whilst it was doing that we take a look at some of the models put on display from model railway clubs, private owners and from the state collection of NSW.

Fantastic Video
I was on that train & I'm the one who's waving at Yerrinbool, which is in the into (29sec) & again at 8:30.
I loved that day, but it was a pity that the Illawarra line had trackwork so we couldn't go back to Sydney via Robertson.
Excellent video mate 😉 It is very sad that 3642 is going to be withdrawn from service, it was great for the last few years that I been watching your videos of 3642 as well other locomotives in action.
Joe Light Railway it’s going in for an overhaul it’ll be back soon
That good news because 3642 is one of my favourite locomotives in action and seeing it double heading with 3526 is a great pairing. I hope both 3526 & 3642 will be together at NSW Rail Museum, Thirlmere in the near future.
I'm definitely getting the Santa Fe vibe from the two ALCO diesels.
Really cool! Some of the locomotives seen in this video are a lot similar to the ones here in New Zealand.
You're right. The whistles remind me of JA 1275.
The P2 Person Yes!
very nice I am only use to WA steam locomotives in real life. Or British and American loco's online.reply
