Thanks for a great video and your work producing it! I really appreciated your help and this type of sharing is the best thing about CZcams. As others have mentioned, there were some extra screws included in the box.
Dude it’s almost midnight. You cramin it together for a midnight snack? I’d come over but I’ve been into the sauce. Enjoy your new toy! See you sooner than either of us want… 🍻
Thank you! This outstanding video is exactly what I needed (esp since the video by the maker is virtually useless!) Your experience with such things is obvious, and your identification of those points that might confuse ppl - and their remedies - are so appreciated. Plus - nice camera work.
I am assembling mine right now following your video. I am trying to slide in that slanted drip pan but i do not have a ledge on either side?? Im at a loss on that. Great video - really helped alot thank u
15.38 I've built a dozen of these units and only one of them had those types of screws for the sides. The rest, flat-point screws. It would be nice to have these screws for future units.
@@mikemondelli741 So I suffered from a slight bone-head moment. One of the side burners had screws that were taped to the very bottom that appear to be the screws that are self-tapping. Otherwise, I had to use an impact driver to get the flat ones in. It's a bit confusing considering nothing in the literature explains where to find the correct screws. I still don't understand why the flat ones are given in the first place. I could be missing a step, but the directions on the assembly of these grills are lackluster at best.
My grill came with 5 longer silver screws with a hex head and a Phillips screwdriver head, any idea what those are for? They came in a separate pack with the gas line/ wiring harness plastic holder. Can’t see where the directions ever call for them.
I have the same issue...Screws seem to be too big. Did you resolve this? Also, the holes don't seem to have threads to even screw them in. If you had to purchase new screws, what did you use?
@@daveschenone7355 I figured it out. You have to mess around with the screws to find the right fit. The one they tell you to use in the manual are not the right ones.
My Prestige 500 came assembled and while moving it a year later, the right side door fell off. When I reinserted it, the pegs fit but it was much lower. The door does not close evenly even with the spacer and holes on the bottom. Almost like it needs a water to raise it up. Adjusting the nut was of little help.
If you are referring to to the black washer spacer sitting in the bottom hole , no, it is there. To my eye the parts are the same on either side. The only thing that occurs to me is that I did not reassemble on a completely flat surface. Our patio stones are uneven. An since we are about to do a Reno on the patio and my garage has no working space, I won’t know for a while. I’m going to take photos and go to the local retailer who assembled it.
@@robsgaragewoodworkin I think I have to reinstall the door on a level surface. That is what the dealer recommended. As I was moseying about the dealer I saw one with assembled with a similar issue. Glad to know I am not only one. The BBQ works fine though.
@@robsgaragewoodworkin time passed and after putting the bbq in my garage (on a flat concrete floor) during the patio installation, the doors leveled themselves and now open properly.
Thank you. The instructions were images only and no words. Without this video, it would have been much harder.

Thank for this video. Mines did not include instructions. Even with the PDF from online, it would have been a struggle without this video!!
Nice job! Better than the official Napoleon videos.
Great video, didn't even looked at the manual, 1hr for full assembly.
Just putting mine together now and have a quick comment. Don't quit your day job! Lol! Just teasing fella, see you at work next week!

Thanks! It’s always nice to hear such positive feedback.
Enjoy the new BBQ. It’s really great!
Cheers!

How are you getting the flat point screws in? I don’t have self tapping either and can’t get the remaining screws in for the sizzle zone shelf.

Sounds like they grabbed an extra pack from another product. Maybe they’ll come in handy one day 😂
did your grill come with the stainless steel side burner grate or did you buy that seperate ? mine came with a cast iron one. thanks
I upgraded to stainless. It came with the cast iron one
Do u have a video on stuck knobs
Sorry, I do not. Try push and twist and pull and twist. Both directions. WD 40, perhaps dynamite 🧨
Good luck 🤞
What screws did you use to attach the burner to the grill? The silver ones dont seem to fit?
Mine was already installed from the factory

Am I the only one the have about 8screws left over. I checked this video twice am I can’t figure out why they are left over.
Is everything together? Looks good and solid? Then they are extra. Don’t worry 😉

There is a washer spacer that the door sits in. Is it possible that is missing?
