The fact that Kendrick dropped a diss 20 minutes after Drake dropped his had people talking about Kendrick diss more and family matters felt like it left everyone’s mind as quickly as it came.

@@HighLifeWorkout Well I hope if it IS true, this whole viral moment gets Drake locked up so he can’t continue to violate people and be protected by people at the top. That’s the real issue. If it takes a viral dance song to do it then so be it. No one gave a damn before… not right, but that’s how society works. No one cares until you make them.
Drake’s best song was Family matters but it got over shadowed by meet the grahms. Kendrick knew that family matters was Drake’s best attack so he had to drop something and counter right away or else Drake would have had the upper hand. At that point, Kendrick had the upper hand. He had a choice to wait for Drake’s response or dictate the pace and hit again but hit with something that would remind Drake all summer about who won. That’s when Kendrick dropped his last song.
But in all honesty, BBL Drizzy was the best song out of all of this.

So you’re right, it wasn’t good. But that wasn’t the purpose of the song. People’s reaction was more “he dropped again?!” Rather than “that’s the best diss song”

Like it legit doesn’t make sense. Shooting stars occurred every night. during meteor showers there will be hundreds of shooting stars. We all know it circadian rhythms are. But that bar is meaningless.
Kenny does that shit too often. He says things that “sound” deep, but they’re really meaningless.
When I say that, people try to tell me that I’m not smart enough to understand him. But the truth is, they are not smart enough to understand that he’s just saying bullshit.
That bar doesn’t make sense astronomically or on a biological level. But it sounds cool. That’s just one example of why I don’t like that song or much of his discography.
Listen to the like that verse again. There are three good bars on there. the rest is all filler shit.

I'm sorry brother, but if you think 6.16 was wack then you don't know Hiphop battles. I'm from the Six and I've never heard a Kendrick album so I'm not a Kdot stan. 6.16 was the setup for Meet the Grahams. A week later 6.16 all makes sense. Hurts me to say it but Kendrick won this battle.
I probably know hip-hop battles more than anyone on the Internet. I got my record deal with Sony Reekers because I used to go up and down the East Coast battling at every “ 8 miles style” freestyle, rap battle on the East Coast. (I got dropped winning merge with BMG.)
