    • @filsm140
      @filsm140 Před 7 měsíci

      It's because people don't spend money on the socket and need to go at it with a wrench. Of course I will argue if you've done it before and have the finesse to take it out with the O2 still attached, it's obviously easier to remove/install it off the car.

    I would suggest leaving the v-band clamp on until you loosen the clamp connecting the down- and mid-pipe to make it easier to separate the mid-pipe from the down-pipe. If you disconnect the two nuts in the rear by the exhaust tips and the mid-pipe nut, you can pull the the exhaust tips back and twist a bit to pull the exhaust off the down-pipe. Then remove the v-band and two down-pipe nuts on the trans. It was really difficult to do this with the down-pipe loose from everything. Just did this yesterday on my F32.

      Have you flashed new OTS map yet?
      Also weren’t you at one point running stage 1 WITH an aftermarket DP on? I’m asking because some people have been talking that the new maps lose a bit down low but gain mid range. And I like low end tbh.
      So I was wondering if my current v 2.1 stage 1 93 would actually be enhanced with a high flow catted DP, but staying at stage 1?

    • @NWAuto
      @NWAuto  Před 2 lety

      @@scottjohnson8316 I ran stage 1 with aftermarket DP for only a few days before I flashed stage 2. I think the DP does enhance it. The car to me feels slightly more responsive with an aftermarket DP. And I haven't flashed the new map yet. Been snowing in my area so I'm not driving much

    • @scottjohnson8316
      @scottjohnson8316 Před 2 lety

      Ok so I admit after saying how I wanted to keep dp stock I gave in and got the evolution racewerks high flow catted DP. I got a great price on it and I’m figuring I may just keep my car at current stage 1 93 v 2.1 for a few reasons.....1. The new v 2.2 stage 2 93 map apparently has a lot of folks complaining about losing traction and going sideways...now I know it’s mostly in rwd cars ( I’m awd) but that doesn’t sound good and the tune may need some tweaks. 2. Also it seems that once PTF updates their OTS maps the previous versions are no longer available! I mean why not keep up the previous gen maps for at least a few months? I emailed them about it and they said I could find the previous map but I couldn’t....they are so vague in their answers.
      My only concern is someone once spoke about throttle closure when running stage 1 with aftermarket DP? I guess when there is overboosting in real cold weather? But what difference would It make if I went stage 2 and it overboosted ? So I don’t get that....
