I want to wish everybody a happy and healthy new year.
In this first video of 2023 I share a little bit of our life in the heart of winter on the Island Andøya in Northern Norway. This is our first winter here in scandinavia.
We still living in the darknes during the polar nights and in a couple of days the sun will come above the horizon. I made homemade Sauerkraut and we drove to the city for some shopping.
I also tried to capture the storm that came over the island for you!

In the spring of 2022, she moved with her partner and son from her native The Netherlands to the North of Norway. Between tall mountains, long rivers and endless forests, she quickly learned living in nature is both hard work and awe-inspiring.
For Carmijn, Red Leaf Hill is as much about sharing as it is expressing, through her own means and by seeking out collaborators who travel a similar wavelength. On her CZcams-channel, she’s garnered a steady following in her journeys across the Norwegian wilderness. To be an open book, where struggle, joy, fear and courage are laid bare for all to see. As clear even as the brightest skies themselves.
