THE BIRTH OF ASTROBOY that consisted of the 1st and 2nd episodes of the original Japanese version was aired as the 1st episode then.
Year 2030 in Tokyo. Dr. Boynton loses his beloved son Toby in a traffic accident. Out of grief, he tries to make a super robot with a heart, which looks just like his son. At the age of 25, I’ve actually managed to meet some of the actors from this dub, I was supposed to go meet, Patricia Whiteley, who played Astro, during her vacation here in Australia. Unfortunately I missed that chance. Hopefully I’ll get to see her maybe some other year
