I remember the 80's Astro Boy episodes where Atom's new friends died or couldn't see them again more than the happy ending episodes.
The last scene where Atom and Pluto fight is pretty cool with Tetsuwan Atomu's background music.

Most of Astro Boy Series truly fit to Walt Disney Studio Animation.
In my opinion :
We hope there will be new 'science + technology + astronaut + fantasy(+magic) + robot + human + industry + space + future + etc.' movies, just like 'Astro Boy (Atom/Adam)' by the production of Walt Disney Animation Studio someday in the long-term future.
It all went downhill from 2009 (except for Pluto of course). I think the peak was 2003.
2009 wasn't too bad imo. It had that humor that forced a few laughs out of me. Like how he slapped himself because he thought he was dreaming.
I mean I don’t have anything against the movie I just wished they didn’t really changed Astros face and followed the manga a bit more since it’s an American Hong Kong collab lol but if the sequel actually came out then it would’ve grab more attention
The movie was okay but too Americanized; a very generic CGI flick.
The franchise then churned out more disappointing crap until 2023; 'Pluto' is a welcomed change.
Personally, the '80s TV series is my favorite.
When I watch the 'Astro Boy Atom' TV series and movies, it feels like Walt Disney Studios.
So, if new remake "Astro Boy Atom" movies and TV series are released in the long-term future, we hope "Astro Boy Atom" movies and TV series should/will be produced by Walt Disney Animation Studio.
