Paul Rodriguez, also known as “P-Rod” was recognized as a prodigy at the young age of 14, only two years after he started skating. His consistency, effortless style and persistence on his board led Paul to travel far from his home town of Northridge, CA to the City Streets around the world as a part of the legendary City Stars team. His passion for skating and filming with his friends led to his breakout part in Logic 6 in 2000, Street Cinema in 2001 and landed him Rookie of the Year in 2002 for his part in Tranworld’s video production “In Bloom.” He turned pro later that year.
Paul bought his first skateboard at the age of 12. When he’s not skateboarding, Paul enjoys studying the lives of influential individuals, including his favorites such as Alexander the Great and Bruce Lee.
Paul currently lives in Los Angeles. - Sport
You can tell how humble he is just by how he places the deck back down with such care
he also knows that if it’s damaged or scratched that they go to displays or are given away and he won’t make any money on those lol

@@someguy3717 Did not know they changed the smaller twin to 8.25, with Neen’s twin nose it was first 8.5, then he added the 8.125 to the selection so it would be easier to do more tech, when/why they switched to 8.25 twin I don’t know.
Well availability isnt good for those and the deathwish/baker and real ones are pretty expensive aswell.
How dare you tell us you ride twin nose decks, but none of your pro decks we can buy have the twin nose. 😢 It sucks! Also please put more details about nose and tail length on the damn website! I bought a PRod deck and wanted a 8.125 buy 8.25 was only available at the time. When they shipped it too me they sent me a 8.125 instead and I was so excited and pumped on the wrong order for a first time. Thank You for sending me the wrong size it made my Christmas
Did P-Rod ever tell us the story behind "Primitive" and how it all started? Would love to hear that.

It was clothing and shoe store long time ago doubt that store is still around but made sense he would name his board company after a store named he had already opened up for clothes and shoes
I’m pretty sure when he open up the store he was still in contract wit plan b so he couldn’t really start primitive yet while still on contract wit plan b. I’m pretty sure he of was a free agent when primitive started as a clothing brand he woulda made boards than tooo since he was already thinkin bout going that route once he become free. He sold boards at the old primitive clothing store but they was all plan b boards and his team riders decks and shit
He originally had the idea of just making a graphic and selling the boards as “prods pro model” no company or team just a board, a graphic with his name on it. And when those sell out, do it again. It would’ve somehow made more $ than having an actual brand or company.. but he decided to go the traditional route and just called it Primitive bc he already had the clothing brand and a warehouse. Look up his 9 club podcast episode from a few years ago and he explains it.

Tiago deck is cool I like flashy over the top graphics. I met him recently at a Tommy Guerrero/ Alva show. We were talking about his switch back t game and I mentioned he should go for a super long 1 on a ledge somewhere. Then you peep his NB part and he does a epic 1 for his ender. Shout out Tiago. Good dude!
As far as pac graphics I’d like a more flashy 1 with him rockin a stage shirtless or riding in a low low all hologram out I do like simple images of him just if it’s on a board I wanna get hyped to shred more. There cool wall hangers tho

Matter of fact I got that red board wit the silver lettering the first one u see that’s one left. Mine that I got has steep ass tail like it’s a nose feels different I thought it was a twin nose a new shape prod is riding but there not symmetrical it jus feels like it’s a double nose but different size
