Obviously he doesn't think about all of these things everyday because he's lived such a long interesting life, but the moment he is shown a clip or someone brings up an old story the memory of it instantly comes flooding back and he can recall every detail again. Im the same way. He had that much fun in his life, so it's very easy to remember fun things in your life, especially things that you are physically AND mentally engaged in, like kickflipping a giant set of stairs with adrenaline going through you. When you associate feelings with memories it becomes a lot easier to remember things. (unlike memorizing formulas for a math test) He probably just has a healthy skater brain from being in shape and absorbing sunlight like most skaters are and do.
Love how enthusiastic he is about every detail of the spots, time, shoes, boards...that's love right there
So many people hate on him, being Nikes first professional skateboarder, but, he innovated street skateboarding in a way many can’t fathom. He’s happy, comfortable in life. And is still holding it down.

Imo he was a huge part of the contest scene flourishing and showing that you can make BANK by putting in the work. Even though contest skating isn’t really my forte, I can’t help but recognize how much of a true skate rat PRod is!
he helped Nike establish legitimacy in skateboarding, for sure. iirc, Nike's first pro was Bam Margera pre-2001.
He seems chill it’s still a grind. You don’t know what it’s like when cameras are off. I’m sure it’s intense PT to recover after those battles.

Always crazy to see Paul. I went to Middle school and High School with him before he left for home schooling. We hung out in the same group in HS and I used to go to his house and skate with him. I was no where near as good as him but he was always encouraging. Good dude.

I'm from the valley too and see prod skate many times. I remember him skating at a val surf skate demo
North high ledges was the local spot. Saw him there several times back in the day. 2002ish

I grew up in the valley too and it was always nice to see P rod at Sylmar High when I would go skate there. Hes a living legend for sure.

He's a pretty energetic dude so I assume he had an issue breathing into the mic or jumping in while other people were talking and the button helps keep the audio cleaner but not sure.
They tried to set the show up based on a previous TV talk show where one of the additional hosts would hold a button to talk in the same manner
