I agree that people should try and help to the best of their ability, and take necessary risks. However, if your fear tells you that you won't be able to actually do any physical saving, then don't be reckless if you don't have to be. There are other ways to help than physically reaching out. The fear of being swept away is 100% reasonable. In that situation, do not go down and put yourself in a situation that forces others to save you too. Call for help. Get people who can go down there instead.
Lol I might have worded that a little harshly. There are some situations that are just too dangerous to deal with, and if you're not physically or mentally qualified, and you're not directly in the problem (like a burning building), then I think calling for help, or lending support is the next best thing you can do.
Memoria: you are right . I absolutely love animals , but I think this boy did put his self into much danger & if he had been swept away the dog would’ve been lost also . Sometimes the fire department helps , not too sure in this situation though .

The first young man was so very brave with such a warm heart ❤💙💜💖. He really had no beyond saying the dog. When all the other brave helpful souls stepped in to help this helpless dog 🐕 out of this situation. That dog must have felt helpless. It trusted them to help it out you are all heroes to me! I am sure that dog 🐕 feels the same way. I have my fingers crossed with all positive thoughts the dog found a forever home. What a recuse effort that 👏 was. Always be kind, you will be rewarded.

I'm swept up and away by the sheer beauty of this video. If only people aspired to show these qualities and empathies alot more often in the world. Cause I can imagine so many countless situations where things like this would've just gone unnoticed, not caring, not wanting to get involved, dismissing it. But each of these individuals chose to participate in a situation they probably only somewhat understood upon first confronting. But total strangers came together to achieve a feat of sheer beauty.
