Son, U need to talk wth Barnaby Lewis, he's frm Blackwater. He knows the stories n songs.. He has come up to Salt River for the Winter Stories.. Really is a wealth of our knowledge.. Those songs, r a link to our past. Read about the history.. my great grandfather on my mom's side, was Antonio B. Juan.. lmember of the last traditional council. Wild stories were given to my mom. Thts A story in itself. But, spk wth Barnaby..
Thank you so much brother, I am completely set apart from my First Nations family. I know nothing & only was able to visit once to enroll 😔 I know I have family there on the Rez but I haven’t met them 💔. I had a strong dream when I was just a little girl about my grandfather living in a mountain side, hiding, depressed & drinking alcohol. I never understood but I knew it was important.
Of course, and thank you for sharing your perspective, I hope you have the chance meet your family at some point and make that connection with your roots.
I think my mom's side of my family is, at least related to the Pima people. Even the Elder here looks like my Tío Benny and uncle Frank. Hopefully one day I'll know where I come from
That leand still Mexican USM 🇲🇽no matter papers said they are part of USA all the apaches from Arisona Nuevo México are part of our history and part of my people ,,,

I really wanna hear more about Gila River reservations!
My niece recently took a test and found that we belong to the Pima tribe.
Why don’t you research your genealogy through the national archive instead of a shady DNA company?
@@randosmallfoot2132 thanks will do. I was hesitant to do a dna test.
I didn’t think DNA testing could break it down to specific tribes. ???? What test did you use? My Son is native and possibly Aztec also.
@@jenniferjaswal3175 I'm not sure but turns out that information did not apply to me.
There is no such blood test to determine what tribe you belong to. Don’t be scammed.
Namaste ty✌
