  • Far out in the countryside of South Dakota is the Pine Ridge Reservation and home to the Oglala Lakota Tribe. On this adventure, I journey to a Lakota medicine man's home to hear what he has to say about his people, why I'm a Native American and he's not, the future of his tribe, control, freedom, what American needs, and many other interesting topics.

There has always been four types of people in the world, those that serve evil intentionally, for a nice paycheck/love of money, materialism, power over others, those that just go along out of fear, avoid conflicts with those of power/authority, for a job/income, those that understand how the system really works, who created it centuries ago, fully controls it, so designed their own methods of using it for their benefit without becoming part of it. And those that just fight it, never taking anything from it. David falls into that group. The latter being the hardest life. So, many kudos to David. This David, me, chose the third way, which served me well. No regrets!

OK, first of all, only GOD is righteous. The Bible says that everyone who has ever lived has been born with a sin nature, therefore we are all sinners by birth and not righteous. Do you know who Jesus is? He is the Savior of the world and of every human being. If you will only call on His Name today and repent of your sins and turn to Him he will forgive you and save you from your sins. Otherwise you will spend eternity in Hell when you die if you die without Jesus Christ.

The integrity, loyalty, and preservation to his people is strong and that’s noble, in such a way as to bring harmony not only with his tribe but non Lakota as well and that speaks volumes. @@bestgrandma8302 Like many names that are used to refer to indigenous peoples, Sioux comes from European interpretations of a name they were called by another nation. What they call themselves is people of the Seven Council Fires, or Oceti Sakowin Oyate, a confederation of seven groups. The three main dialects of their language are now referred to as Lakota, Nakota and Dakota. I'd highly recommend reading The Great Sioux Nation by Roxanne Dunbar Ortiz.

Not to mention a new dance I invented some years ago...not pole dancing, or break dancing, but pole break dancing...as I could not get down from the top to the bottom position...so I used the stick...I paid a little extra for it, as it multi-tasks, it looks pretty, and it shines in the dark...so when I forget where I am...I can be found by worried search parties. Hoping I don't need it in a few years though, as I have found a new exercise on a slant board that stretches the knee tendons and ligaments and the quads in an extreme position...with wt on the knee...in fact, this exercise could be worth its wt in gold. Spiritually I feel great though, but it will take 8 yrs or so before I can get around...recovery from serious ME/CFS is not overnight, but I am almost officially retired, although tired would be a better description...so I have time now to sort out this decrepit body of mine, once and for all...the Sky is the Limit...and with all the changes coming, I have to be ready, as there will be a lot of work to do, which for me includes coming out to the Lakota, and a few other tribes, and passing on the Last Prophecy...and to warn of the coming events in Sept 2028 and Spring 2033...the world will very quickly look completely different, as the old is taken away, and the new installed by al the Nature Spirits...they are ready! As are many spirits around the Earth who are approaching to support the new times, but they need our help, for we have to empty our minds of all self-will and selfish desires, and ask for the guidance from Above...and the Power of the Spiritual energy streams, which are intensified by a great Star that drives all these karmic reactions, and which will appear in the Sky in around 2038 I sense. Not long to go! So may I wish you well too in your preparation work for what is to come. Are you on the Prairies?@@Hardrada88

I got some new perspective on what they did with the peace that was conquered by force. I can say that their honor was and is polluted and tainted by the deliberate disregard for the peace that was signed...as if whatever honor there was in all the sacrifice never mattered. @colonelsanders4006 I think that it is more important to "bloom where you are planted." Grow from between the cracks of the unforgiving ground, and live your own truth no matter where you are. I think close-mindedness is a plague over all lands. Those of us who see differently need to inspire those who are willing to see and hear, no matter where we are. After all, I can personally assure you there is nowhere more desolate and harsh in conditions than Pine Ridge Reservation. Have courage enough to bloom wherever you are. ✨️🌱✨️

Walks With Pride has so much wisdom. He was at the Wounded Knee Occupation in 1973 when the U.S. Government once again screwed over his People, yet he harbors no hate - Impressive!
Its obvious why he's a healer, as those living in a lower, hateful frequency cannot heal others.

This is such a powerful series. I live in Mankato, MN where they have the horror of convicting and hanging the 38 Dakota, Lakota, Nokota and other indigenious peoples unjustly. There has been more and more attention to our local history here and I hope that continues. As your guest said, there needs to be truth in education about what really happened. Until we do that , there is no hope.
Every year, on Dec. 25, the 38 ride into Mankato from the Dakotas and ride through town, the streets are blocked and they are escorted to the memorials down by the river. They share their stories, their history and their pain. Many people attend this ceremony even though it can be very cold. I have lined the streets as they have passed through as a way to honor their suffering. This is such a powerful message and one that I have heard and read in many places. Keep doing this great work.

White dog. Was one. Jean Baptiste Campbell for sure I'd be related to and a few others . Most of em were all kin and related in one way or another with white dog being the oldest. But don't quote me . This year marks the end of the dakota 38 ride for good and I've plans to be in Mankato to see the riders come in , to catch up to friends and family .
