Iraq Fighters Vow To Aid Hezbollah In War, Israel Eyes Starlink Backup As Officials Warn Of Blackout

- Iraqi fighters will engage Israel “at zero distance” if it attacks Lebanon. The remarks were made by Abu Alaa al-Walae, secretary-general of the Sayyed Al-Shuhada Brigades. The brigades is part of Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), a coalition of Iran-backed Iraqi paramilitary forces in Iraq. So far, the Iraqi fighters have been “striking the Zionist enemy's strongholds from a distance of over 800 kilometers (497 miles),” Walae said. Another Iran-backed armed group Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq warned that "American interests in the region and Iraq will be in jeopardy if the Zionist enemy expands its assaults on Lebanon and Hezbollah". Meanwhile, Israel is looking to use Elon Musk’s Starlink to maintain internet connectivity in case of a potential all-out war with Hezbollah.
