I have a theory that Corey is trying to sound exactly like he did in Iowa, but without damaging his vocal chords. Ever since gray chapter, he’s gotten higher and more aggressive screams
We need a remastered Iowa album with his voice now and the production now 🙌
Found it really interesting how audible all the members were - there’s been criticism in the past about pointless members who are just extras, but very audible keys, scratching, programming and additional percussion. Feel like you could hear the ‘whole band’ more than for a long time (within a single track anyway).
the ones they said were deemed as "extras" are the most entertaining on tour.. it was hard to stop watching sid when i saw them a few months ago.. very engaged

Corey Taylor is an absolute master of his craft. Especially when it comes to how he puts the words on the music. His structuring, phrasing and flow of the words is absolutely insane and so unique!

I mean... I love this band since 1999... but lets talk about how Jay Wienberg is the best that could've happened to this band.

Well, the best thing would be if Joey never left and was still alive, but Jay is for sure the second best thing to ever happen to the band

This is their last album with Roadrunner hence the title. At least that is what internet is saying 😅 My guess is that they are gonna start their own label. But yeah, super excited for the album. This song is amazing! 🤘🏻🔥

@@YodaRules It’s a path that works for major metal bands. Metallica did it, even buying the full rights for their entire previous catalogue. There’s no reason Slipknot can’t do the same thing.
I think it's safe to say that Slipknot is back with a vengeance. This song is an absolute banger. Can't wait for the full album.

I'm absolutely rabid waiting for the new album to drop. It kills me that I still haven't been able to see them live, even though I've been a die-hard fan since Iowa. I wasn't sold on The Chapeltown Rag initially but after re-listening to it after this, I feel like it makes more sense tonally. September can't come fast enough.

The last three Reacts I heard talk about Volume 3 and I agree 100 percent! Sort of the volume 3 clean melody and melodic riffs and experimentation mixed with some old school riffs from self titled and Iowa. Love it and hope the whole album goes into this vibe!

Still waiting for you boys to react to ADTR's new track Miracle. Slipknot still being a slipknot, hope the album has a little more to it sound wise though. This sounds like it could have been part of a deluxe of the last record, at least the chorus, the verses sound a lot like classic Slipknot. That being said, I DO like this track A LOT. It's solid.

I honestly don't get why everyone thinks the album name pointing to them packing it in or going on hiatus. The only thing they have mentioned is just taking a break from touring.

@@benjamindavis4974 the mix/production just sounds wank. The masks are just becoming stupidly gimmicky, it just isn't for me, I'll stick to their older material, could be that I'm not a 14 year old fanboy anymore. There is much better music dropping elsewhere, this is just mediocre.
@@neichie6226 it's perfectly fine to say that you've outgrown them. I myself used Slipknot to get into more extreme subgenres of metal and sound 'soft,' compared to the bands I listen to now. But to call them wank is a little disrespectful considering they are probably one of the most influential metal bands in the last 20 years
