Find a Percent of an Amount Using the 1% method

We don't all think the same way. Here's a way to work out a percent of an amount that many students find low-stress.
After the 1% method is used and the solution found, I compare it side-by-side with what I usually use so students can see they amount to the same result.
It's really important that students feel able to use the strategy they find most comfortable, and that everyone understands that both these strategies are legitimate.
