    Nice video.
As a married man of 10+ years, it is so refreshing to hear a woman take (for me a woman is a mature female) on what being a wife and mother truly is.
The problem in our current culture is that we have so demonized traditional feminine roles, and have GLAMORIZED being the "Boss Babe". I get that women from 1-2 generations back felt trapped in traditional roles without the option to get out of toxic relationships. Again the majority of these were NOT toxic, but everyone wants to know they have the "option" to do something even if you decide not to do it. And so women began to tout "independence" and self-sufficeincy as somehow being "strong". However, it is detrimental to famalies.... AND Most importantly to women themselves. The STRONG BLACK WOMAN narrative is a false badge of honor... I can understand where the term came from and how it came to be used initially. It was to give value to women who in many cases had no self-worth/value at all.
However, now women have access to things that men do..... so to say you are "strong" or "independent" is not a win. What are you independent of?... Love, communication, teamwork, intimacy, etc
Being a wife and mother became things that were demonized simply because it is something thall women can biological enter into. HOWEVER< that does not in any way diminish the value and importance of it.

First of all it wasn’t all healthy majority of the time “ traditional role “ women were getting abused at a very high rate and the men were being protected by the Church and told to stay with their abusive husbands based on “ better or worse vows “ .

I definitely agree with you Randall. I don’t want to be a strong black woman. I want to cater to my spouse and raise my children myself. We must still always ensure we are working on having a substantial savings, or some income of our own to have that option in case things go awry.

@@elishahandy8207 Your argument really does come down to how much "abuse" you think existed in relationships. IF you let some people tell it... ALL relationships were abusive/toxic.
So to give context to this discussion... tell me what percentage of marriages do you feel had abusive men in them?

We'll push the legacy of fraternity and sorority on our children over the legacy of being wife and husbands. I'll always have a job in law enforcement with this American social tragedy.

It was a decent segment. My critique would be that it's important for the black community and all of America to intentionally build husbands and wives as parents. It's literally a lost tradition and custom in this country. We will be intentional and ambitious about everything else except for passing that torch of being husbands and wives, which is the healthiest thing that any nation can do. The education of God, husband, wife, and family is what propelled humanity, not an entrepreneur, academics, and corporation. We'll push the legacy of fraternity and sorority on our children over the legacy of being wife and husbands.
Societies die when the aforementioned are not prioritized.
Teach those children how to be husbands and wives.
