Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Hey not sure why I couldn't comment in the main page but. What happen to Cat Dog?
Loved the Alec Balwin reference! lmao
@@danielstopka1313 he moved to a different farm I believe. Sad to see an iconic figure leave
@@JD-Films1cat dog
@@danielstopka1313 He moved to the neighbor's house.
You know because Jim has been gone, those Yankum ropes have been collecting some dust, you need to get him out there to wear the dust off😂
🤣🤣🤣🚜🚜🚜
Jim’s still stuck, just on the couch this time. He still might need a pullout in the spring.
@@Len_M. 😂 hopefully he gets better and we see him out on the farm again
Who knew a John Deere combine sounds like a German Shepherd barking.
🤣🤣🤣🚜🚜🚜
It's part of the built in warning system.
@@persistentwind I've delivered my fair share of them. Must be an add on at purchase.
You might want to try and find an old Fendt from the 70s - 80s. The then used MWM engines sound just like Weimaraners.

I’m still pissed off at how wimpy the winter was here in Northern California.
I will take responsibility for the way this winter is. I bought a new tractor and snowblower in April of last year for my birthday.
I thought it was the opposite, if you buy a new snow blower, it won't snow at all! Lol
@ke6gwf exactly. It's barely snowed at all in the upper midwest
The CBoys interview brought me here and the video quality will keep me here!
My first job in 1976 at 14 was working at an elevator in Dike Iowa! One of my jobs was to be lowered into silos on a harness with a respirator and grain shovel to level off the corn and beans!
That doesn't sound super enjoyable!
You had a rope AND a respirator?!
Wuss
Homeschooling and Farming are a perfect fit. One of the best decisions my wife and I have made. Nothing better than learning and working side by side as a family.
Was outside this afternoon and heard frogs crooking this being 22nd February that is crazy! Live in west Michigan.
Already?!
@@MillennialFarmer yes sir! I haven’t heard that sound so early ever! Hopefully you’re feeling better Zach.
Hi Zach I’m Floyd the kid who emailed you and I just want to say thank you for responding that really made my day and the advice you gave to the dogs that were watching was brilliant to them you sound like Einstein (even though they don’t know who Einstein is)
SEATBELT!!! Unplug the wire just below where the buckle snaps in. It will never ding again.
I think that's one of the most expensive movie sets a production has ever used. That main character Zach seems knowledgeable about the farm. He must pay close attention to the script!
No snow, no salt on the roads, no problem driving the square body. I'm riding my motorcycle in Michigan.
I'd rather have it be cold. It isn't gonna be good for algae on the lakes this year at all.
Did you see the amount of sodium in that so called healthy meal. Holy crap
Maybe they provide him with his high blood pressure meds. 😂
Uh oh...someone afraid of a lil salt.
Unless you buy sea salt all other salt is almost 50% sugar.
@@firstname6208 it's actually about 0.04% of added sugar, but who is counting?
If you put a geotechnical fabric over the existing driveways and a new layer of gravel on top of them it should help clean up your yard. The geotechnical fabric separates the soil from the gravel and keeps the mud to a minimum. Love the show. Keep up the great work.
That sounds like a lot of work, but I'm going to check into it!
Plug plug plug, with your wonderful frozen dinner comes 860 mg of sodium!!!
Been home sick for 2 days . Always something right .
Cap'nitis...usually "clears up" by trying Three Sheetz or else two xcedrenz upon waking the mornin' after...ime....
Ethenol is junk gas I don't use it at all. Take care of yourself and family and friends and be Blessed ❤️.
I don't want grain in my fuel. Just costs more in repairs. They need to find better ways to support farmes than making all our moters loose fuel mileage and clog injectors.
Think how cheap food would be if we grew crops we could eat on all these acres.
@@EricCarlson-bz2ptsomeone somewhere will just make up the difference
I grew up on the farm south of Guderian’s. I was picking corn right by County Road 28 and we had this stupid dog that was a car chaser. Yep that was the end of that dog.
They were all green with envy because they are not red!
Who could ask for better farm hands than the two you have working for you in this video? They don't complain about their pay, show up on time, don't leave early, eat whatever lunch is provided, don't back talk, laugh at your jokes, always back you up against strangers and such, and are generally your friends. Plus, they cuss the machinery when you do, too. However, they can get distracted occasionally and chase a rabbit or go off and dig a 🕳 hole. But, have you ever seen a worker who doesn't do that?
Zach im just getting over some kinda sickness. Wasnt covid or flu but man have i coughed a lot. Feel better. Get ur rest and pound the vitamins down 🚜🚜
Nice Shocker plug for the ol' red headed rebel! 👌🇺🇸
I like your new truck and the red looks great. My color.
Nice video. I pray you get better soon with whatever you may have.
It costs money, but if you put larger rock, like 2-4 inch quarry spall down first on your driveway and yard, then top with 1 inch crushed clean rock, that should make a massive difference in how muddy your yard gets. But sometimes it just can't be helped. I do know if you put straight gravel on top of dirt, the mud will never go away
Hoping you get to feeling better Zach.
Love the long line of JD tractors. Always like seeing green & yellow in the fields. Hope you feeling better soon! Greetings from Texas.🌞 (We had a high of 87° in central TX today. Not bad for February!)
Daddy Cornstar and Cole Cornstar should have the dryer 😊
Your dry humor and sarcasm works well!!........Probably why you have so many subs......Good job!,,,,,,Very entertaining even when you are sick!! 😀....Thx!!
When you put the new dryer in have them set it high enough to drive the skid steer under for cleaning season. Or at least high enough to walk under.
Also tile the driveway to allow the water to drain off. Bet Randy would love to tile the driveway for you.
Have them check the block heater it might be bad or weak.
My wife's name is Onna. Every time you say come on Onna my wife ask where we are going lol
does she bark every time you start a tractor.
What was the turn around time to fix the 780? Keep up the great work and thanks for all that you do…Watching from Western NY closest I’ve came to the farm was helping out on a cow farm and seeing a couple combines up close…they are amazing…Stay safe and you have a new subscriber here!
Great video thanks for sharing
Hope you get to feeling better. It was nice for to to consider the feelings if all the dogs who might have been watching.
My wife got those factor meals it’s quick an there good we have mud too had 10 inches rain for the month of December
Get well soon!!
It is a shame the magic doesn't work on colds. Great video!
Another excellent video MF. What a sad world we live in when there’s people starving and we are putting grain in fuel ( do they save some of the grain for food?) also having acres and acres of land for “solar farms” Is it the same over there ?
Thankyo once again!
Great video
Hope you get to feeling. Safe travels!
I loved the factor's meals, but the cardiologist said NO , way too much sodium for my old self 😞
Zach, you and I are both snowmobile guys. As much of a pain in the ass it is to move snow, it sure would be nice to take the sleds out for a ride. No snow around grand forks
Subbed because of the cboys pod. Seem like a cool dude,
We just gotta bring you to the golden side for some asphalt racing.
I'll race anything! 🤣 got to run a road course once for about an hour in a BMW, had a freaking blast!!
@@MillennialFarmer Your Facebook was hacked and I'm hearing instagram too
Get better soon.
18:40 look at all those deer 😂😂
My German shepherd identical to Anna does the same thing barking and biting and she hates cats
Thanks for the video even when you feeling bad.. Get well soon Zach.
Hope you are feeling yourself soon😀
I hope you feel better fast! Sucks being sick. Take it easy Zach
Love Your Videos Zach! Keep Them Up!!!!
hope you start feeling better soon. Great video
Our 9870 does the same thing if it sits a while. Seems to help if you just turn the key on without cranking it, there’s a lift pump that runs and helps prime it all up. Even cycle it a few times. That usually does the trick on ours
Mine too
Get well soon.
Hope u feel better
Hope you get to feeling better the colds are going around
We just got winter up here in winnipeg, I have 1 mile on my sled, very sad.
It's a bummer!!
Congrats on the new Duramax truck! I have a dually similar to one of the duallys you have in your fleet.
Side note, as of 8:40pm PST on Friday 2/23/24, this video is #35 on Trending here on CZcams.
same here, about the winter.
When I saw that "Robo-Probe" "thingy," the grain elevator used to test your semi's corn it brought back memories of my high-school years. My Dad worked for an outfit that went around and tested grain at elevators and barges for moisture and foreign material. Of course, they didn't have automatic probes back then. Just long poles they had to use by old fashion elbow grease.
Our winter has been the same. I have a bad feeling for the rest as well😂
Hope you feel better Zach.
Batteries are screwed in the 9870. Should crank a Loy faster
another good video hope ya feel better and ya this winter has been very easy barely and snow and only 1 night near 0 here in upstate NY
Looking forward to the process of removing and installing the dryer
In one of your next videos, can you talk some about your family decision to home school and pros/cons? Maybe that would go on your other channel...
Hope your feeling a lot better by now can't wait to see that new grain bin dryer being built
Hope that you are starting to feel better, and that your trip went well. Remember it will not remain schlopy long
WOW! I saw a 8770! Cool!
Hope you feel better soon. 👍❤️🇨🇦
Hey Zach I love your videos, I was just gonna tell you that my friend FaceTimed me to show me he seen you at the farm show in Texas. Well thanks for saying Hi it’s really means a lot to me! Keep Up The Good Work!!
It’s really cool to see what’s going on just north of us where you guys are. Awesome videos!
March is "the snow month" here where i live in Norway too 😅
Our German shepherd did the same thing, barking and snapping at the tires.
2012 Iowa had snow down to hwy 30 Ames in early May. 2018, in a week period in the middle of April, we had 30" + of snow, N.W. Iowa
Sounds like air. One cyl hitting, then two then all🎉
Got a month before spring!
Gute Besserung, Zach!
Greetings from Northern Germany
You are very lucky to have a dealer you trust. Here in Colorado, our dealers change names every couple of years. Right now I guess they are known as 21st-century Equipment. They have been the worst as far as service of anybody in my life! They have no competition and it shows. They couldn't even install a battery without f-ing that up! Count yourself lucky!
Seems to my experience with 21st century as well. They need to just hang the sign outside that just says " you are just lucky we are open" it is super frustrating
“Yeah it yells at me wen i dont wear a seatbelt” easy fix. Get a seatbelt
Buckle and plug it in and never hear the ding again
2-3 min out of the freezer, no way. I've had them. From fridge as reccomended yes. They say not to freeze so you buy more.
Grew up on a farm 2 miles south of 210 /29 junction
do a video of the kids cold starting the equipment. I enjoy watching them.
Hope you feel better tomorrow.
Well Wishes!
Hope your feeling better Zack. I know the feeling😢
Thank you for introducing that cat, and explaining about the dryer
I'm sure more of captain Morgan, will make you feel better ( or worse)
Winter has been very mild in NE Washington too. We had about 6" or so of snow in January. I typically rack about 80-100 miles of plowing with my Ranger around my house and shop each winter. This winter I've plowed one evening, then the next day, only doing about 6 miles of plowing. I honestly don't miss the plowing, but the lack of snow in concerning for water and wildfire season. Last summer there were two nasty fires near Spokane, WA that started the same day.
You may want to pour some Heet in the fuel tank of that combine. When it gets really cold like that of course the fuel can gel up and if there is any water in it just a little bit that will cut the fuel pressure down to against nothing. Its really irrating but Heet usually takes care of it.
When you nodded at the end of the video, I nodded back 😂
Hi nice vlog...feel better soon...good luck ....take care.... Deborah 🇨🇦🇺🇦
Get well good sir Vic’s your feet put socks on and have a half of onion on night stand
First time I got tested for COVID years ago it left me with a nosebleed for 12 hours so I hear you about the eye watering bit. Sorry to hear you're under the weather. Thanks for doing what you do despite that. Seems almost antithetical for a millennial. :)
I am actually 100% surprised he went and got tested.
just in time!
Great video!
This channel, Welkers and Larson are my faves! good Americans getting work done and loving their fam!
You can pull the wire that goes in the seatbelt clip, that will silence that alarm
I do love me that German Shepherd-combine-start-assist-system you got there! I need one....
