Thanks for your time in making this video.
Awesome shoes bro nice tip on the masking tape on tight edges
Awesome, love them. 💜 love your videos
Glad you like them!
My daughter love them !
...Awesome paintjob, so cool!
My question are what are you using to coat the shoes with and can you use the same for textile shoes for protection of the artwork!?
Nice customs good freehand on the skulls. How far you keep airbrush away from the painting area? 6 inches or so? and where you get that turntable? thanks
Bulldog with allow it to stick to the soles. We use it on car interiors and bumper covers and paint sticks great.
please go try it on some shoes then come back with feedback, the paint cracks and fails when the rubber flexes when you walk around. its not vinyl or plastic, most soles are made from rubber.
How do you prep your paint and what paint do you use?
Nice!!
Hello can I have close front footage of the skulls ? Thank you very much
What size needle did you use for the skulls?
Those recommending car products have to understand that sneakers flex. Cars are hard and stiff. The paint will stick and look good but eventually flake off the rubber. You would do better dying/staining the rubber. Bulldog or Createx do work great as additional adhesive to the shoe itself and midsoles. i use both. Bulldog is especially good for stuff like cleats.
Exactly this! Well said.
Dope!
Use a small blue flame on a blow torch to make the surface of the rubber become wetable , don't melt it just gently go over the surface with the flame. You can test if the process has worked by using a pipet of water, the drop of water should look like it is flat and spread rather than being a bead. this process will make any tricky polymers take paint and ink.
Is that just rust o leum crystal clear enamel for the clear coat??
Createx send Mike some Latex bloodline adhesion promoter for latex and rubber so he can do a test on some rubber trainer soles to see if that's the magic ingredients to stop the paint cracking....
Nice video Mike, I understand your reason for not painting the sole of the shoes. But I have questions. How do you keep the paint from cracking and lifting off, from the bending area between the bottom of the shoe laces and the toes. The shoe does bend there when people walk, run, climb steps and other things. Are you using a flex additive / adhesion promoter in that area and does that clear you sprayed on have a flex additive in it ? I only ask because Createx would not make a flex adhesion additive for nothing. It seems like almost everyone on You Tube that paints sneakers, says they either don't use a flex additive or they hold that info back from the viewers on how it's used. It doesn't seem possible to me, that it's not needed or used on any sneaker, shoe, boot, jacket or T-shirt. Thanks for a cool video.
I add createx to my paint for adhesion and flex. I learned it from customizers on youtube and it has worked for me. It doesnt take away from good prep though.
Scuff soap and gray scotchbrite, the adhesion promoter will make paint stick to rubber
The problem is not making paint stick. Its stopping the paint from cracking as you walk around and the rubber flexes.
Unless you have tried and proven your method I would not post comments like this. I could not in good faith paint the rubber on a customers shoes and expect it to last once they wear their shoes that why I dont, and tell people not to. 21 years of experience talking here...
fukkn DOPE!!
Try an automotive adhesion promoter ...spray the sole let it dry repeat a couple times for a good thick coverage ...the promoter sticks to the rubber and paint sticks well to the promoter...I'm not sure about durability yet but it seems to work.
nope dont work.
@@MikesBrush just a quick idea that i came up with.. what about using plastic primer on rubber?
also found some flexible primers on google, maybe something like this could work
Chech out the lk shoe primer and finisher! Iuse it myself for my sneakers and it work and helps me withthe quality of my airbrush skills to
Nice viseo btw, new sub
a spray that helps with airbrush skills? thats a new one....
That purple is a candy right?shits tight bro...
I think if u sand the sole a little bit the paint might stick.
I recently bought a pair of Nike Alpha Fly 2. The color is absolutely hideous they look like pumpkins. I think I could live with them if I could just paint the polyester upper blue. Can you paint over one color with another color and is there a type of paint that will work best with polyester? Can I send these things to you and how much would you charge to fix them as best as is possible. I like orange and blue and the midsole is orange and yellow. So I think the blue would work out just fine blue is the opposite of Orange on the color wheel and the two colors look nice together. These were $285 shoes that I got for $177. I'm not even a super athlete, these are just really cool shoes.
What shoes we’re those?
Bless you @9:48
BAD ASS 👍🏽
thanks
Very well done but I think you need a duller these look almost too shiny
It has nothing to do with duller. It was the clear coat he put on it.
The shit dope my guy. I do customs as well. What’s your IG?
Where could I get some cheap sneakers to start practicing on also what size needle is that?

So.... step one in your “how to airbrush” series is “Become an expert graphic artist first...” LOL. Way above my head, but I admire your skills!!!
This is not a "how to airbrush" video. This is "How to Airbrush Shoes"
If you are still learning to use the tool you have no business trying to paint anything.
I have many videos on "How to Airbrush for Beginners" Or "Develop finger control for airbrush"
This is a video on the process of airbrushing paint onto shoes just like the title says.
En España te vemos un tutoríal en castellano e ingles estupendo salud amigo
