@@TheGfambam 🤣🤣🤣 haha I tried my best to nail the pacing
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear I have been watching your videos non stop for DAYS!! Your eye for detail is on another level . I thought I was the only one with OCD eyes lol jk . Thank you for all the hard work you put out to help others like myself i appreciate you and continue to be amazing . And I’ll be a shoe contestant very soon . But nothing can beat those Jack skellington shoes they literally shitted on everyone in this business insane work .🙈
I made it. Although, I'm not an English speaker, I'm so hungry to learn all this stuff.
man, oh man. this was a phenomenal tutorial! thank you for the obvious effort that went into the creation of this video. this was a masterclass, not just on how to make a stencil, but how to make an effective tutorial that people can easily follow and enjoy.
Thank you Chris, really appreciate the kind words. Couldn’t ask for better feedback on how the message actually came across well!
Yo. Lots of videos throw around the words “master class” but this is truly a master class video from stencil creation, stencils cutting, layout, painting, what happens after, how to minimize bleed…like everything is in here. Thank you. Phenomenal effort and great job.
Thank you man, that means a lot! Very very glad to hear you say that 🤙🏽
What an incredible tutorial. Thank you for making this - you're an industry leader.
I could have been doping stencils a lot more strategically; welp Mr. Dejesus, you have done it again. I learned a lot; it's all sinking in, can't wait to watch this video 40 more times in the next year. God bless you and your family. Beyond grateful for the time and effort that got put into this.

Your level of patience is incredible. I'm just getting to grips with a Cricut Maker and looking into stencils etc. but a shoe with all the different stitched areas, bumps and materials... Hat's off to you, SIr.

Glad to help!
Hey there DeJesus, fellow artist here. I've been following you for nearly a year and you got me interested in trying out some sneaker customisation of my own. And I enjoyed it! You have a wealth of knowledge and experience and you are honestly one of the nicest artist-CZcamsrs I've come across. Have you ever thought about holding your own masterclasses in person or creating online courses? This wealth of knowledge is too good and I'm sure you would have people signing up.
Absolutely , we just hosted our in person course, The DCF Experience last month. Was an absolute blast! Should have a full course recap video coming soon.
Verry helpfull, dont know yet what technique I'm going to use, but I'm not in to painting shoes, but I am doing a custom goalie helmet for my daughter and your tutorial are by far the best. Thanks.
Thank you I appreciate that! Good luck
You are a legend ! 🙏🏼💯 thank you for this amazing video & information. No one else would show us this 🤞🏼
My man!! Always glad to help 🤙🏽
Holy smokes!! I'm so use to doing my stencils in positive layers, so to watch you do yours in negative layers just blew my mind! Nice job!!!
So so soo much easier imo, used to do it that was also lol
Watched from start to finish, and definitely going to watch again! It was so informative. I'm trying to wrap my brain on getting the stencils made on different software's because I use cricut design space, gimp and canva
Glad you enjoyed! For the most part all the programs really do just about the same thing. Sometimes the tools just have different names or are in slightly different locations. For almost any software you can even CZcams something along the lines of "how to do (x tool in photoshop) in gimp"
I cannot wait to sit down and watch this. This is incredible. 🔥
Ayyyyyyyooooo!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽
you did very good, i learned a lot from you and i enjoy watching all your work!
These go HARD 🔥 💯❗️
Thanks fam!

Thank you man really appreciate that!
Great tutorial
Very diligent explanation and on point
Awesome video skills too
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed
Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed !! Appreciate your support 🤙🏽
been waiting for this!
🚀🚀🚀
You can use a projector to project the logo image onto the shoe and paint it by hand. Also, and this is quite a bit more expensive, if you have a Xtool P2 CO2 laser, you can lightly "burn" the line art of the image onto the shoe and paint it by hand. The Xtool P2 has the ability to burn onto curved surfaces. No need for stencils at all, unless you just want to use them.
Using the stencils speeds up the entire process. Thats why you’re not doing it by hand to trace the image onto the shoes first
This is so awesome
Thanks for tuning in Abe!
Great video!!!
Thanks Robby 🙏
Thank you
Thanks for watching 🤙🏽
FINALLY🔥🔥🔥🔥
I have been fooling around with Stencils, I even found a software that takes any photo and turns it into a stencil. To be honest, this way looks much easier. I'm gonna try it out
Some heat🔥
Thanks fam
man i've been waiting for this one
Lemme know what you think Jesse!
Detroit basketball!!!!!!! Good job bro
Super like!
👏👏👏 AMAZING job! Thanks bro! I never tried Photoshop but after this video.. 🤔 I might be a pro now! 🤣🤣jk but I Deff have some solid info.. thanks✌️😎👍
Glad you Enjoyed !
Legend👑
Appreicate that bro!
Thank you for your good content. I think the method is too complicated for me but will try to understand it.
You got this!
Oh man I just found your channel recently and haven't seen much but this is something I have been struggling with for a while.. after the first 30secs I can tell this is what I'm looking for.. thank you for your time making this video
Ayyyyy the intro worked!! That’s a great start lol, appreciate you tuning in man. Let me know what you think when you get a chance to check out the whole thing
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear finally got through it all so here we go.. I have been using procreate for my stencil work but it seems photoshops the way to go because of all the extra manipulations and tools it has although their are a good ammount of the same tools to get it done on proC just not as easy.. how to find the right image on Google to use will help in a lot of detailed works in the future.. the registration marks as well as how to size all the sections together is going to save my brain on solving many math problems I've done to get the sizing right for all the sections.. and hopefully my favorite part I just hand painted my first pair of shoes for my son and when I would tape off sections it always peeled up the paint and I did many touch ups and had to stop using it, so hopefully the vinyl heat gun trick saves the paint on the shoes.. my only critique would be as your spraying each layer explaining what your laying down if you took the clips from the sections as you made them individually and showed that before you sprayed it, it could help follow along with the layer your working on..
All in all man, I'm glad your making videos because this was nothing short of a master class and I wish you all the success D!! Deff gonna follow your work 👍
@@dylanjacobson3112 thank you very much for the feedback Dylan! Really appreciate it and glad you enjoyed the vid.. actually filmed myself grabbing each stencil where it’s labeled and ultimately ended up scrapping it.. but I do see that additional visual could have been useful. Good luck giving it a go next time around!
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear not a problem man, it was minimal time and effort compared to what you put into this.. is their a spot I can send you a picture of the shoes i made so you have something to look at from this exchange?
@@dylanjacobson3112 please do, you can email me contact@dejesusinc.com or dm me on Instagram @dejesuscustomfootwear

I want to be a good customer shoes need your advise please
Im watching this video every day broh need your help please
I guess this Video will increase the interest in your Workshops...
Haha thanks man!
new subscriber and love the videos do you have a website to order etc
Ooooowh shit its finally here boyyysss and gyaaaals
Let’s go 🚀
Awesome video dejesus!! how long do you wait to peal the vinyl , I’m still getting a little bit of a problem with the paint chipping ?
Make sure you heat the vinyl as you’re removing it. Surface has to be thoroughly prepped so that the paint will bond, and then anything past 10 mins is plenty of time.. I don’t suspect paint is peeling underneath the vinyl just cause you didn’t wait long enough
Yess finally! Thank you 🙏🏾 now my only question do i need the desktop version of PS for this ?
I think it will make your life much much much easier doing it on a desktop vs mobile
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear as well as in your initial set up of resizing to keep your computer from stalling; when you change the ppi you can check the inches cause a 22 in image changed to 300ppi from 72 takes a lot of memory
@@Sketchy_Sketch09 yes it would! Would deifnitly want some memory on your computer to handle that task
Too dope
Thanks fam!
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear I can't wait to try this..
Let’s goooo!!!!
Showtimeeeeeeee Art 🚀
Ooooohhhhhhhh, ok!!
I am at a stage where I’m still doing stockmen on shoes and I still end up peeling the wrong stencil. That multi thing is going to come out looking like Picasso, and not in a good way.
The funny thing is that I e been thinking about this for the past few weeks now because we use to do this when painting our rifles back in the day
If I wanted to do just a logo or a word (in vinyl) on some new black shoes from the factory. What would sanding and acetone be like just inside the outline of the logo or vinyl? Should I mask and sand with the vinyl or tape on? Thank you
I would probably just acetone in that case honestly, you can overprep the area by a little bit and it won’t be very noticeable
MOSTRO... Brutal
Got a commission i was gonna hand draw like the last. But this might make it easier i hope the same techniques hold up to fabric other wise im gonna have a lot of touch ups to do on these yeezies
Just gotta use the right vinyl for em , I’d go fdc 3700 glitter vinyl for primeknit material
Hey there! @DeJesusCustomFootwear Do you have any vinyl suggestions for the Silhouette Portrait which only has a width of 8" accross? Thanks!
I would just cut the Oracal 811 into smaller pieces, you could even cut the whole roll if needed
Would it be fine to fully prep a pair of shoes besides adhesion promoter and wait 1-2 weeks before painting?
Yes no issue
Hello !
I've been watching your videos for 6 months now, it's been very helpful.
I decided to custom my first pair of shoes "entirely", but cracking starts to appear on the toe cap where the shoe bends. Is there a way to prevent that ?
Thanks.
Usually sounds like a prep issue or perhaps not enough dry time for the paint
If u know about sewing material on it the sneakers make a video please. I think it would be great context
So lets say you don't have a silhouette printer or photoshop. Could this still be done using procreate to get the layers and a cricut for the stencils? Thank you for making this video. One day ill upgrade to a pc cause it will be easier to follow but for now gotta work with what I have.
Yeah you should be able to do everything with a cricut that can be done on a silhouette. As far as procreate though you will definitly be somewhat more limited just because photoshop is so much more expansive where you can really fine tune things.. the most important thing is just being able to really get specific with your selections so as long as you can start to figure that out in procreate you’ll get the hang of it
And this is why you will eventually have a shoe named after you, things like this👍👍👍👍
Haha thanks fam!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is why you have to charge so much money for customs 😂 it’s a lot of work!!! Another great video bro!!!
That’s for damn sure! Lol
is that doable in procreate?
Hey, I love your content and I’ve been working at improving my skills to hopefully start selling shoes soon. I’m planning on buying a vinyl cutter, but I’ve had a few questions about it. Would a circut vinyl cutter or one around 150-200 work well? Also, is there another photo editing software with just an upfront payment or free instead of monthly payment. I don’t want to pay $20 for a monthly subscription
I think there’s one called affinity photo that can do a majority of things and I want to say that’s a one time thing. You could also do a lot of things with procreate on the iPad.. as for vinyl cutters you’ll be able to do just about everything with vinyl for shoes on any of the entry level cutters you’re referencing
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear Bro, thank you so much. I really respect the fact that you we willing to respond to me so quickly. I know your busy, so the fact you took out time to help one random person online is freaking awesome. Your very skilled, and I hope your craft brings you to many great heights. Thank you for the help. Have a great day king😎
Hello 🤗 This was an amazing tutorial!!! Can you tell me what Vinyl you are using for cleats? At one point you were using Oracal 651 glitter edition right? I can't find that anywhere 😭
That’s discontinued and now called fdc 3700 glitter vinyl on etsy. But I still use the Oracal 811 on a lot of cleats
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear omg thank you so much for responding!!! I'm going to try doing my first pair of custom shoes/cleats ever and I want to make sure I have all the right stuff!! Thank youuuuuuuuuu
If you have spray painted your sneakers with flat white spray paint can you then go back and paint the same shoes with the angelus leather paint after the spray paint has been on the shoes for a long while? I'm also guessing that you will have to use the leather preparer deglaze first.
To be honest I would never recommend using spray paint so I would strip that off completely and use angelus paint
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear What can I use to strip the spray paint off the shoes ?
@@tonyj5273 acetone
Yaaaaa! 👌💥🙏
