So glad that I finally got the time to watch the replay of Francesco's presentation. A nice explanation of his workflow from planning to capture. I'm inspired to get out and use my gear if I can find a landscape even remotely as beautiful as Bedruthan in May.
Thank you Douglas!
Many thanks for this very complete and very clear presentation. And I am even more impressed by the fact that you both do this so well in a language other than your mother tongue.
Thank you!!
What a Masterclass! Thanks, Francesco and Rafael! I learned so many new things that will be incredibly useful for my future photo trips, and functions I wasn't aware of in the PhotoPills app that I will start using now👌
:D
Thank you Rafa and Francesco. This is one of the best planning classes I've ever seen on youtube. Keep up the great work.
Thank you George!
Love the information and tutorial on PhotoPills. Here in Scotland weather is 99.999% of the preparation :(
Thanks so much!
Thanks, it was a great talk!
Thanks for watching!
Well done, really interesting and apealing
Thank you!
I missed the live version as I was flying back to the US but caught the re-run over the weekend camping. Really enjoyed the video and found it very informative. Thanks for doing it guys!! Paul
Thank you!
Nice work on this session. I learned a lot!
Thank you!
Did the speaker have any thoughts on using long exposure noise reduction for 1 - 2 min exposures?
I bet he is not using it...
Hello! I recommend not using in-camera noise reduction, as noise will be low when using a low ISO, and it can be easily reduced in post-production if necessary. Using in-camera noise reduction will double the exposure time because a dark frame image is captured after the "real" one. So, if you take a 2-minute long exposure, you have to wait 4 minutes, which means you miss another shot you could have taken in that time. As you know, when the light is great, it doesn't last long, and it's important to take as many images as possible
Well crap! I was hoping this would be in plain English where it would be easy to understand and follow!
(Get a grip. If you see from the number of participants logging in from so many different time zones, PhotoPills is not relegated to the "privileged English-speaking class." I consider it fortunate that Raf and his presenters get their English as good as they do, simply to accommodate guys like us.)
See comment above.. You can also slow the playback speed to .75 and it might be a little easier to follow
We do our best!
