They just need a more stable educational infrastructure to help reinforce their knowledge and build upon it.

That's messed up that everybody is surprised that there's a Detroit young black male who can some what speak intellectually & with knowledge when it comes to politics. When in all actuality you got plenty of Detroit youth who are educated and or smart, but some of them may not feel confortable showing it. Matter of fact percentage wise when compared to other major cities Detroit may have more people who can express themselves in a respectable manner.
I never said anything about Detroiters scoring high in academics. But I did say "you got plenty of Detroit youth who are educated and or smart". And I said "Detroit may have more people who can express themselves in a respectable manner." Now being educated goes beyond what you might learn in school, or how a school may determine your educational level. And I came up with my conclusion not because I seen impressive test scores from Detroit students. But because I've witnessed myself, and many other Detroiters having intellectual, and educated conversations about stuff like politics, religion, sex, and drugs.

I hope that Brotha gets out! This is what pisses me off about how politicians treat the "inner city" like pet dogs. They simple throw scraps at them to keep them coming back to vote for them. I also beleive that if you compare 2 people, and both of them smoke "weed", if one person is already a lazy person, they will be a lazy pothead. But the 2nd person, who has ambition, and can control himself can be productive so you can't always blame the drugs, it really is on the person.
