The ad was very funny and Stellaris is a great game, but the audio balance wasn't quite right on the ad segment. Maybe have a word with whoever edited it before you get invaded by a fleet of angry Paradox devs

4gb ram, emmc, 11" display in 15" body, with bezels offering even more space to place your post-it notes (it's for school yo!), for the affordable price of 899. Can't wait. The only thing this can offer over a cheapest macbook air will be a touch display. If it even will be same price as base M1 Air.

Yeah, that's a brilliant idea. Haven't played for years, but when I did I offered the local community of ice miners a spreadsheet, helping calculate the best mining ship for the specific player needs. Right after someone pointed out how the results were screwy, and I found out that I rounded results twice. LOL
now we just need satisfactory x excel
Ah EVE - 4 hours of tweaking your loadout, 1 hour waiting for fleet to log in - then 15 minutes of being yelled at by a sweaty neckbeard, before you get randomly podded.
Genius naming. When google inevitably cancel the project, it will be Google Chromebook’s Ex.
Once my Chromebook got deprecated 3 years ago, it always tells me to buy a new one and changed the start page to a page to buy a chromebook on the google store.
Please stop this. Let people use their outdated device in peace
There are many tutorials about installing Linux in outdated Chromebook, but the installation process are much more complicated than installing Linux in regular laptops

Building a brand name around an ultra-low end laptop, and then trying to sell higher end laptops under basically the same name totally isn't a dumb marketing idea.

I think you all need to start reading the articles for context before making comments solely based on TechLinked commentary. I love TL but it's increasingly becoming borderline deceptive when they leave out core details like "Right now, it doesn’t look like Google has a device of its own planned, so don’t hold your breath for a Pixelbook successor" for the sake of making the show more entertaining
@@mrbobgamingmemes9558 yes and no. There’s a generation of students who have really only ever used a Chromebook as that’s what they only used at school and home.
When these students start looking at a device for college/uni and look at something premium to last them, that tends to lead them to MacBooks and Google doesn’t have an offering.
Google have been playing a long long strategy with Chromebooks. I’d be interested to see if that pays off

@@WellKnownAliasI haven’t been a fan of the Dennis spots in here or WAN show. I actually only ever liked two forms of sponsor segments, what used to be a super straight to the point only business read here, or the other extreme like distractible where they made a whole skit out of it.
Looking up the EVE Online Excel Add-in it states that it's not excel that is in the game, it's to import your data from the game to excel. So seems like people will still have to alt-tab out into excel
Given that due to how CCP games (and now Pearl Abyss) has options to trade characters and there are ways to calculate real world value to EVE ships, stations and characters and even buy in up to certain levels, the Excel thing was way overdue. Especially, right now as there is a major in game war going on where there are battles involving thousands of dollars being destroyed. The only reason that it is not going to make some of the largest and most expensive battles is due to the fact that it is in high sec so the most expensive ships in the game (those that can cost tens of thousands of dollars) are not allow into the fights.
Honestly, i don`t wanna hear anything about long streaming hours and tight schedules or burnouts. We reached a state in these industries, where you can earn 100 millions in TWO FREAKIN YEARS. Even a tenth of that amount would be mindblowing for anyone else outside this bubble.
Imagine nurses, streetwoorkers, waitresses and all the "normal" or even underpaid jobs, that keep society running hearing this. How long does it take these people to earn a fraction of the sums we are talking about here?
You are offered millions for streaming? Earn enough money for more than 10 lifetimes in such a short time and think about sleeping later, when you retire at max 30 years.
Cmon folks. Step out of this bubble from time to time and watch these complaint through the eyes of 95% of mankind.
It's just the same as with any other 'entrepeneurial' profession: You hear about the 1-10 folks who 'made it' and they made it BIG. And then there's 99,999...recurring% of the rest who literally won't ever make it into the 100k/year level, but still have to deal with Twitch BS on a daily basis.
Well yeah, someone could say that. but I still don`t see an excuse for complains.
Look at it from this side: Everybody, who wants to be a streamer and make big bucks starting on Twitch knows exactly what they getting themself into. Its just like 50Cents said. "Get rich od die tryin`"
Grind through it or keep it doing as a hobby. Nobody prevents them from quitting.

Its strange that NSFW subreddits lose ads. You have to be 18+ and is the perfect place for ads as no children "should be" in those subreddits.
Yeah, but most advertisers seem to have the mindset of "boobie bad" and won't advertise there. I dunno, make it make sense.

Yeah, but ads are by advertisers and as such they have to want to. The ads don't just come from the void.
And if it's Reddit that does it, it's not the sexual advertisers, like sex shops, that are avoiding "NSFW" sub-reddits.
At some point some companies will make use of that demographic and get a return on investment.
Bidding on those spots must be cheaper surely

microsoft excel integrated in a game caught me off the guard 🤣🤣
Twitch giving more labels instead of a general 'mature content' warning is good, however people believe the old warning was bad for numbers. With Twitch's other recent moves and the new labels automatically applying for certain games I'll just wait and see, but it's hard to believe it's only a good thing
You got that twitch thing a little wrong: they don't "lock" the channel, aka a ban, they just lock the content label there so you can't remove it.
The “Gannon Burget” bit made me realise how fun the news would be, if all people in the news were referred to via their most relevant online aliases.

I work in IT consulting and I convinced the sales team to not sign on a new client because they all use Chromebooks. My company might be losing money but we are not going to manage Chromebook endpoints.
Finally a ltt stellaris ad that reflects the craziness of the game, i love it
As a former "Chromebook sales specialist" (really, I was paid to sell chromebooks)
I can't tell you how many customers ended up not buying because they asked themselves,
"will I really use this?" or
"can I get a similar windows/Mac device that will do the same or more for a similar price?"
And guess what... they usually bought a windows or Apple device instead.
Chromebooks are trying to be macbooks with inferior hardware and that just doesn't work.
I will say, the n100+ Intel processors are a huge step up from previous products like the n4000/6000 series. Seriously, if you are looking for a cheaper device, don't go less than an n100 or amd equivalent.
