@@Dom-bn1ru You don't add acid to mac n cheese because it's an emulsion and if you lower the ph too much it causes it to have a grainy texture. A touch of acid can work well though like some roasted tomatoes or hot sauce. Lime flavor probably wouldn't work unless you were using a specific type of cheese.

I’m not sure if I would cook rice in sesame oil as that could break down oil but I recommended finishing it with sesame oil once rice is done and still hot :)
My grandmother has made Shoyu chicken over rice for years. The chicken is marinated then braised in a mix of soy sauce, water, some sort of animal stock, and seasoning. She uses Aloha low-sodium soy sauce (think of regular soy sauce but a little lighter in salt, in addition to being sweet). It is one of my favorite recipes of all time. She picked it up from her time in hawai'i, where she met her husband.
