      The presentation was poorly organized and difficult to follow. The presenters spoke too quickly and did not provide clear explanations of the products. This made it difficult to determine which product was the best. I would appreciate it if the presenters would slow down and speak more clearly, and if they would provide a more concise summary of their findings.

    I work at a appliance repair shop. We do in home repairs. We do not work on LG's, Samsung, Bosch or Beko.
    ***Warning to all***.....before you buy any major appliance call your local repair shop(s) and ask them what brands they do and don't repair.
    Our shop does NOT do warranty work. We have warranty companies calling us from MULTIPLE other states. They are so very desperate to find a repair shop, any repair shop to do warranty work they beg us to go to other states to do work!
    Do NOT take out any type of extended warranty unless your local repair shop does warranty work.
    Remember...the more bells and whistles any appliance has the more things can & will go wrong. Use the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) system when purchasing all major appliances. The more electronics, the more options, the more money your local repair shop is going to make.

    Getting service for any Electrlux appliance has been a problem down here(south Georgia). Service for LG is readily available, so its a no brainer. I don't how service is with GE.

  • @cylonred8902
    @cylonred8902 Před 8 měsíci

    We got the GE but one notch down - we lost the dispenser but I don't care and the wife wanted the blue color. So far - really happy though the the washer seems to not like to connect to the app. I will call about that soon as the washer/dryer were relocated to the basement. No smells - even though I know my son is NOT using the vent system (too much for him to remember) with the door closed.

    We have the Samsung 9900 and it is pretty awesome. We use the small top washer a lot, and we have both running at the same time frequently. Before this one we had an Electrolux wave touch washer purchased in 2013, had it for 10 years. It was fairly reliable, besides a few repairs I did myself we liked it, was beautiful, but was terrible at rinsing clothes. We always ran the 15 min fast wash at the end of the cycle as just a rinse because an actual rinse cycle used hardly any water. The Samsung uses a shocking amount in comparison which I’m very happy about. The app feature is so useful in letting me know when a cycle is complete or if someone else in the house is washing something. Cant tell you how many times I’m ready with my clothes and the washer has already been taken. The only thing we don’t like but knew before we purchased was that the main washer is very low to the ground, even with a riser. With a standard washer you can use a pedestal and get great height. If you used one on this washer the top would be so high you wouldn’t be able to reach the smaller washer. Time will tell how reliable this one is going to be, although I purchased it with the expectation that it will be more prone to issues and may not last as long as Electrolux. If the Electrolux had done better at rinsing I probably would have had the motivation to replace the failing bearings. I did take a look and the new Electrolux units and they just don’t seem innovative enough compared to the competition even if they did fix the rinsing issue. Plus they removed features that I loved on our old one, like being able to turn on the drum light while it’s washing.

    Newer lg dryer. Bearings went on drum

  • @ShwetankYa
    @ShwetankYa Před 8 měsíci +1

    A lot of just reading off features. The first electrolux is found to have best cleaning/stain removal ability according to a few tests with a good overhead jet of water into the drum. The LG 6700 (and often others) was found to be less gentle than average on clothes, negating one of the advantages of front loaders over top loaders...

      But LG still isn’t rough on clothes per se, it’s just roughER than the Electrolux. Also Lg is more reliable and more service friendly

      I have the Electrolux 627 and it’s harder on clothes than a comparable lg or ge.
      It also has needed three major services in five years. glad I got a free five year extended warranty through the retailer.

    Some say that the GE 2 in 1 is going to be less reliable due to needing to constantly clean the filter. But is that not the case for any heat pump dryer as well? I do wish it wasn't made in China though... maybe there will be more 2 in 1s later including those made in other countries...

      @robertmedina3195 Před měsícem

      @@YaleAppliance1 it really makes little sense why LG is rated at S tier, considering the stink due to the lack of the anti microban and if you read reviews....LG isn't a very reliable at all and getting service is near impossible. Even you guys have said that...while GE has a good service dept.

    Having to buy that Twindos detergent for auto-dispensing is a big negative. When I had Mieles about 3 or 4 years ago, it was hard to get the Twindos cartridges and they were too costly. And those pods? Fuggedaboudit!

      I don't care to use a lot of water - as HE front loaders clean better - but the short life of modern washing machines is so disappointing and has to negate any financial and environmental savings from the high efficiency factor

      If you want it to last, get a Speed Queen. That's what many laundromats use.

  • @JDCrae
    @JDCrae Před 8 měsíci +1

    Looking at a LG front load washer to replace our top loader speed queen. While we love our SQ we would like larger capacity, front loading but definitely want reliability. No many independent places near us though so it looks like we would have to deal with a big box store. The comments I hear about LG and our currently under performing LG fridge that's only two years old makes me nervous.

    steam and wifi features are the bs features you actually dont need. According to the consumer report, steaming takes 600% more electricity and doesnt clean any better than normal wash with detergent. Make with this information what you will.

    I don't want "smart" anything on my washer. I want to be able to control basic settings appropriate to the type of device it is from the front panel. Why should I pay the price for some idiots at GE or wherever to make some app I won't bother installing because all it does is bloat my life with yet another shitty app?

    • @Ikey04-ge9gy
      @Ikey04-ge9gy Před 8 měsíci +14

      Not at all. Speed queen may last you 3 generations and a half, but why would I want an energy guzzling water guzzling dinosaur washer with average performance, small capacity and roughness on clothes? Idk about y’all but that doesn’t appeal to me. A much lower priced, reliable enough, flexible, service friendly, family friendly, versatile, well performing, efficient washer is much better in my opinion.

    • @themikeroberts
      @themikeroberts Před 8 měsíci +4

      It seems like even among speedqueen fans, the only benefit is durability.
      So it's lack of features versus the competition make it reasonable to rank it below LG

    • @anfernyjackson9013
      @anfernyjackson9013 Před 7 měsíci +5

      @@YaleAppliance1 People don't realize that Speed Queen / ALS in 2015 was sold to an investment banking firm, and like typical money crunchers, they made changes based on profit around that time and some techs on youtube have commented on it. So the SQ washers with only knobs, people think it's mechanically controlled... nope, there's a control unit behind there. If it fails, that part alone is $600+ where for other manufacturers (besides Miele), it would be half that or less. Dampers/strings tend to be made similarly and is a common wear/failure component on all washers (usually from people overloading them), they are components that are very easy to swap out though and people should know how to do it. That said, I try to not argue with people too much on SQ as it's always good to see more competition, I just wish considering the premium price and lack of features, they would focus on reliability/repairability.

      @@Ikey04-ge9gyyou people act like your clothes are a million dollars. Agitator washers have been around for the last 80 years and if they were that bad they would have been done away with. You do your good deed and keep your carbon footprints small while I'll use those water guzzling top loaders and thank the Lord for that.
