I felt like it just ended out of nowhere. It seemed like there was more story to tell but it just randomly ended without resolving most of the plots. Imo it needed at least two more episodes after the finale we got.
Garry Williams It was a good episode ending and even season ending, but not a series ending. So many MAJOR loose threads. The article about Francis’ crimes about to be published, Doug dying in the Oval Office and a freaking nuclear attack on Syria about to happen. Yet they still wasted a whole lot of time on the Shepard’s and their boring son, none of whom I think were even in any of the previous seasons. 🤦🏾♂️
It was going to be the last season had Kevin Spacey not been taken off. However i believe had he been in it the show would be rounded off so much better
This was literally the worst season of the show. No HOC without Kevin Spacey. Pregnant Claire Underwood freaking out in the Oval Office!?!!?! THE ENDING WAS TERRRRRRIIIIBBLLLLEEEEEE
Agreed. Just OTT, unrealistic.
To be fair the show wasn't even good last season with Kevin spacey lol
The series had started to suck anyway since Frank had become President, I loved this Last Season because it was different!
Yeah. Too unbelievable that frank would view Raymond and those weak sisters of oligarchs as “the real power”. And Tom Yeats? What a wuss out of a strong character...I don’t doubt he’d die but he’d protect his work.
I'm disappointed. The end was anticlimactic and in the end we were just "Children wanting for the card to fall"🤷♂️.But at least there's no more "pain",now the show can't get worst than this!
Spoiler alert!!
The season sucked.
There are people doing unpaid internships all over the world.
I find it hard to believe someone dared to ask for money to make this piece of crap (not the review, the season itself).
i dont see the point of no spoilers reviews...
For the thousands who haven’t seen it yet... Trust me
Not everyone is gonna binge it in one day
Doug didn't see the point either
people seeking for reviews this early like me have already watched it. I don’t see the point of no spoiler either
But we are clearly in the minority. I have to think about everyone. People who are trying to decide whether they wanna watch it or not.
The ending was so out of Doug character...
House of feminism!
All men for themselves!
I've watched the first episode of this season, witjout KEVIN SPACEY, It was even more disappointING than I expected. ..as a huge fan,I used to enjoy ever second of this show, but now, it doesn't feel house of cards any more...Without KEVIN and Frank Underwood, they should have canceled it
The first 2 and the last episodes are bad, but the ones between them are fine, except the feminist only women bullshit.
#NotMyPresident
This is basically the Game of Thrones season 7 of House of Cards.
HoC needed Kevin Spacey. GoT needed actual book material (its still not done...)
WORTHLESS WITHOUT FRANK
* * The last couple seasons sucked anyway
Meh, I'm just guna rewatch Making a murderer season 1 and 2.
Even before Spacey thing happened, I was saying I love to watch this show due to their 'partnership' and relationship, I always thought that show would never work with only Spacey and without Wright, never imagined vice versa would happen, but also does not work
Are you gonna watch Homecoming on Amazon Prime? I’m trying to see the whole season today lol! You do it every week and I’m having a hard time doing it once lol!
Love your reviews. You are very prepared and funny.
I don’t get the ratio of views vs likes /unlikes
Thank you :)
The opening scene was pretty bad, it picked up a tad over the next episode or two and then turned into a meandering muddlefuck over Frank's legacy and her and it got redundant and boring very quickly. The ending was meh. The all too present WHITE MAN BAD schtick got really old very quickly. The only point that this aspect was even remotely interesting was in Season 4 and 5 where who they were as a couple and who she was with or without him was called into question.
They could have kept the action going, but it felt like what little it had going for it nose-dived after a brief glimmer of light. I'm glad they didn't just end it with 5 but I would not have ended it like this.
I completely agree that the ending was a letdown, but how exactly were they supposed to “move on” from Frank?
I was slightly disappointed by the season, I still enjoyed it, I felt that the 'house of cards' needed to fall, not just for Frank but for Claire as well. There was also a lot of ambiguity to the end, lots of plot lines left incomplete, which could be good for starting conversation and theories but it just feels empty.
I do miss Frank but Claire, Doug and for some reason Petrov fill some of the gaps, for me at least. They are all very good in this season.
I've seen a lot of people talking about the weight of social justice warrior/ feminist approach to this season, but honestly it didn't effect me as much as I thought it would, however it was a lot, understandable considering the writers and directors are mostly women.
*SPOILERS*
Things I didn't like/ felt weird and out of place:
- The flalshbacks of Claire, why would they just shove in this style of storytelling in the last season..
- The Frank audio diary, soooo every time Frank talked to us, he was recording? or he wrote it down? very confused..
- Doug breaking the fourth wall, why?
- Claire getting pregnant, if i'm not mistaken it seemed like too long after Frank died for Claire to get pregnant from him, did Frank store some of his sperm? or maybe it wasn't even his?? I was very confused..
- Usher having the body of Tom Yates..still, was it frozen or something?
If someone can please tell me why these make sense, please do!
...Re: her getting pregnant. lsnt she a tad bit old?? An what did you think about the all woman cabinet? lol Over all i was mostly confused, annoyed and disappointed! Frank was really missed by me, his character was horribly corrupt, but still, he was so much more likable than Claire, who came off to me as straight up psychopathic!
I don't think it episode 8 is the final episode. I guess a few more episode will come.
i'm 2 episodes in and i realize the writers are feminists but the feminism bits are a bit more hamfisted this season than before, it's kind of obnoxiously cheesy. i expect that from Bojack Horseman, and it's fine when Bojack does it because it's an extreme cartoon, it lives off of exaggeration, but all the winks to feminism themes really make me roll my eyes.
Instead of shows just killing off a main character... Just have someone else play said character... I wanted to see the Underwoods come to a head. We watched what like 65 episodes of that forming and to get this... Mess of a season is a slap in the face.
Give me the original story and this show just go so preachy about men vs women and how strong, powerful, and rebellious Claire is I just wanted to stop watching. How many cut-aways were there in this season to when Claire was younger and had to prove how rebellious and strong of a woman she has always been? We got a few of her as a kid, some teenage ones, a few from college, and so one.
We know Claire is a strong women because of everything that has happened in the previous seasons with the affair, loving whomever she wants without giving up anything, doing whatever she wants and so on. She even like ran against Frank in earlier seasons and never answered to him.
WHY BEAT US OVER THE HEAD WITH IT WE GET IT.
Also that ending? What the crap was that. And how many dead bodies are there in this season? Who is still alive aside from Claire? There are like 100 bodies under a rug and only Hammerschimdt was like "Boy that's suspicious"
I found myself fast forwarding through season 6 because, well.......pretty boring. Robin Wright’s acting is superior, as were the majority of the cast, however, after a while I personally couldn’t look at Claire Underwood/Hale, anymore.....chills.
We needed Frank Underwood, and better script writing to pique my interest, and to punch a hole into the total unbelievability that a female sociopath, narcissist, murderer gets away with the antics she seemingly pulls off without a glitch, and continues to rule dictator style. I was also bothered by the theme of the current “me too” movement and woman’s rights accentuated in season 6 by bring to light that as hard a woman have fought for positions of power and equal rights, the insult portrayed in this series, is the ultimate outcome of finally reaching our goals, is to become worse than men....cold, calculating “good old girls”, ruthless in ambition, greed and power...anything goes to hold on to the power....so very demented, sick and disturbing......In summation, with a tad bit more creativity, season 6 could have been SO MUCH better.....yawn......zzzzzzzzzzzz
Suzy Young Fantastically put Miss Suzy , my sentiments entirely. i had really hoped i wasnt alone in my feelings towards the overboard #metoo movement garbage here! Thankfully the more comments i read the prouder i become of my gender and our calling bullshit where we see it! I want to stick up for our men a little bit and tell the crazy, rabid, leftists, liberal feminists to take it down a notch, and that they do NOT speak for all of us!
at first i was like - ZiggyD has a movie channel?
Honestly if you watch season 5 they kind a write out Kevin spacey idk what his arc would of even been this season .
I think that he was going to die,Claire would act crazy unbalancing the government and then overthrowing the Shepards out of the "game"!
@@AlexssandroMeneses in the UK version he gets shot they prob were going to do something like that
Well, if Frank was alive he would be doing the role of bringing Claire down with Doug's help. Doug then realises Frank is trying to tear down what they have achieved and the twist comes in and that is Doug killing Francis to preserve his "legacy" and die a martyr. Just like the UK version.
I assume he and Claire would have become so obsessed combating each other that everything they had built to that point would come crashing down around them as they tear each other apart. Instead we got some weird agenda driven garbage for 8 episodes.
I just wanted to see the scene they foreshadowed where Claire and frank fight with a knife, Doug definitely got what would have been franks death.
Good show still ,Frank was the rock of the show though , not sure if I m gona watch all episodes six series
Doug kills frank underwood, then Claire kills Doug in the oval office at the last show with the letter opener.... Hopefully I saved you some time
Yeah dont watch it. I was really turned off from the feminism and sjw vibes throughout whole season
I just finished it. I miss Kevin very much. I did not like the end. I will keep quiet until everyone watches. Robin did her thing. Great job Madame President. She is Frank's wife.💯
Don't you want to tell people that Doug stamper killed frank underwood, then Claire kills him in the oval office at the end of the show?
@@mbabothful I see your a sick dick!😷😷😷
Austin you know I love you but I'm really not liking the new score system for series. It's a good idea I just miss the number rating system. Any chance you could go back to it? Either way I'll still be watching your vids bro.
The fact that Spacey has had the charges dropped against him.
Loved it but it was nothing like the previous seasons with Kevin. I do like the way it ended!! It left for an easy Season 7. There is a lot of questions asked or addressed in this episode. Like, Who killed Frank, etc.... Loved this show!! Even though they stated this was the 6th & final season. Be great if they came out with 1 more season
It felt like the season was written specificly as an agenda driven show aimed at the events surrounding Kevin Spaceys departure and todays feminist social political climate. Its like they lost all perspective on what the show was actually about just to try and make some statement in the real world. For me the real ending was Season 5. The rest is a heaping dumpster fire. Even Claire was reduced to what Frank was when she was supposed to be even more ruthless. What a shame.
This happens all the time these days. Look at Portlandia! In the beginning it was pretty hilarious commentary on the "hipster" mentality of moral superiority. Last few seasons turned into un-funny jabs at backward people who "don't get" progressivism. They literally turned into everything they used to make fun of. Pretty much overnight. We lost a good show that day.... Breaks my heart.
With SJW's ruining everything down to games like Battlefield V where its full of estrogen, all I want to know is if this is a feminist agenda filled show now or not... I guess it is, so I will have to skip it.
@James Clark oh, thanks for the info. I'll give it a chance then.
In this one single case, I REALLY wish we could separate the art from the artist. The show has been one of my favorites from the start. Shit, it single-handedly put Netflix on the map! It is the only reason Netflix creates ANY original content at all. And the show is absolutely horrible without him. We can think he's a despicable person AND think he's a great actor too... Pablo Picasso? William Burroughs? Fucking Woody Allen!? Alfred Hitchcock? ROMAN POLANSKI??? I could go on and on! These are all MONSTERS who we still praise and consume the art of today. Don't be a hypocrite.
The hint that Claire was somehow justified in her evil seemed ridiculous, but to be fair they show her as a monster whom even her final cabinet was turning against. Boy that poor kid but I doubt it will be allowed to see daylight by Claire as she simply a means to an end. Too bad they kept Tom Yeats weak, not protecting his book by having sent it out, expecting the Underwoods to kill him.
Ozark review please?
I hope is not a SJW review and keep it honest,
Ok, never mind! Is good!
👌🏻🙌🏻
@@AustinBurke I did try it, I didn't like it, but your review is good, let's wait what everybody thinks about house of cards season 6 I want to discuss it but it's too early I don't wanna spoil it, salu2!
🙏🏻🙏🏻 thank you!!
@Eileen Farrar no digas mamadas
I was ok with the season removing Francis 100% was never gonna sit well with audience feels weird, the tone changed as well and sometimes it felt slow coz there werent as many stories happening at the same time like prev seasons coz it was trying to center on Claire vs The Shepherds and they just couldnt invent more stories that wouldn't convey directly with the main story. Overall considering the main character got removed its pretty good. Agreed its like chess and chess is not for everyone.
I'm really disappointed in this season. Amazing acting but the story was all over the place, as if they were writing as they went along instead of creating an arc, like in all the other seasons.
I had to force myself to finish it. The last 10 minutes of the season are the worst of the entire 6-season series. They ruined so much good work in just one scene. I'd suggest to anyone who hasn't watched it to stop at season 5 to retain the show's glory.
i was disapointed with the ending. the only suprisi g thing is that dough killed Frank.
Claire should have had Meachum assassinate Frank at the end of season 4 in order to make Frank a martyr and take his secrets to the grave. Instead, Netflix got greedy and the whole series crumbled like, well, a house of cards.
Hmmm I believe you...🤔
Did you just watch this in one day?!
Haha yes I did 😂 #nolife
Obviously it came out Thursday night lol
Well... Friday at 3am for East Coasters.. I tried waking up for it... Slight success 😂
I did too 😂😂😂
House of Card final season was very...very dissapointing
Sooo also a fan. Saw the entire season in two days... um still miss Frank & Claire was awesome but I just did not like the story line.
i selfishly wish that his accuser waited until after season 6 to drop his bombshell. I won't even bother watching season 6, without Frank there's no point.
I think it would have been a better choice to recast Frank and continued with the original plan.
It have worked for other shows before.
I just come from watching the end of HOC. We did not deserve this ending. Spacey aside, we did not deserved the ending and the story for this season.
We are missing FU
This was horrible and it should have ended last year. However the only good thing I can say about the final episode, which I haven't heard a reviewer has said about the show is the final line Claire says. She says the same line about pain that Frank said in the first few minutes of the first episode of the show. When he is dealing with the dog that got hit by the car and breaking the fourth wall to us, he then snaps its neck and you hear him say.."there no more pain". Maybe she meant it also for us after that snooze of a season.
I enjoyed the middle episodes, but that ending was a wreck! Very dissapointed.
1. Claire was a cold ice queen the entire season. Wasn't likable IMO. And 2. What was the point of her pulling that whole crazy unstable woman bit. I couldn't see where that was going. I think that may be an example of what Austin says is convoluted.
Be happy they made a season 6. Be grateful.....
the show should of ended with a bang having everything crumble to pieces, seeing everyone go in flames would of been really satisfying. It should of ended in a tragedy.
Your lukewarm attitude towards this series just doesn't strike me as a very compelling review. I shouldn't try this channel again.
HOC dies slow and horrible death........people should be honest, dont need to be politically correct always.....As much as robin was great as Claire.... HOC was frank and all about frank, his fourth wall break was something else....it was better if thr was nothing to write thn just dont make a last season.....
Also you keep saying something was missing. I think its obvious but ill say it anyway, FRANK UNDERWOOD. They should have left it at season 5 or bit the bullet and finished filming season 6 with Spacey.
Technically, your way of watching every Netflix series is "binge it". 🤔😂😜
HAHA but is it worth the binge?!
That’s the question I answer 😂
@@AustinBurke I know, I'm just joshing. 😋
Very disappointing season! Without Kevin Spacey it's dead. Although Robin Wright is a fantastic actress she didn't bring back the magic on her own.
OMG that bad ha?? hmmm.... gonna still try it. Again, HoC = Kevin Spacey
Aburrida del capítulo 1 al 4
En el 5 despega y el final no esta mal pero tampoco esta excelente.
I found that the shepherd family was way more interesting than Claire
*WAIT* .... Your "Good Stuff" didn't seem too good🤔. Haha. I'm still pumped to start watching it tho. It's how I'm spending my Saturday. Great video as always! Much Love😁💚
Thank you 😊
I can’t believe that we wasted 6 years watching this once great show. Season 6 was okay but it wasn’t wrapped up very well.
Did Frank deserve death, yes, he was a dirty bastard that I loved and hated at the same time...But killing him off screen & at the hands of his most loyal subject was disappointing. We all know of his scandal but wow.
Claire is great but she’s much more enjoyable while riding shotgun with Frank. Let’s be honest, without Frank, Claire would had NEVER had a chance at becoming president.
RIP President Underwood !
Uggggh how could they leave us this way like Donna Summer??
I think you were way too nice to this season in your review. They introduced like 6 different plot lines and multiple new characters and they went NOWHERE. Most of the episodes were pointless in the long run. Most of the episodes had no meaning. That’s terrible writing. The finale is one of the worst finales ever. It would have been somewhat tolerable if they had like 3-4 more episodes after it to tie up ANY of the plot lines introduced in this season (besides the mystery of Frank’s death), but they didn’t. They also tried to introduce a pro feminism/anti-feminism message that tried to have its cake and eat it too, when they should have just kept the entire issue out of the show, since that too went nowhere. Terrible season, that has tarnished the show IMO. Terrible terrible terrible.
Doug stamper dies at the end, and Claire kills him.
Kevin spacey made house of cards.
Kevin spacey is the best and still is the best
I only made it 1 1/2 episodes in and got bored to death.
Thumbs up if you had to go back and watch at least one episode with Frank in it after season 6!
I'm disappointed. I wanted to see Frank in the higher power(illuminati). I could care less what Kevin spacey did in 1984. The last season sucked
HOC no more, Godfather ish ending
Frank had to stay in the show. Just give him a horrible death and everybody would be satisfied
It was fucking trash. Build up that when no where, characters being killed off for nothing other than shock value, long drawn out pretentious scenes that ultimately never paid off. It went from being the best show on Netflix to the worst.
this season wasn't that good it should not have ended at all if kevin didn't fuck up. they should have had kevin spacey finish at least wtf kevin spacey.
It was so so so bad.
Awful, absolutely awful season. They needed a new actor with the same level of charisma as Spacey -- and we got monotone Diane Lane and dull Greg Kinnear. Uninspired plots, lame story arcs for the season. Michael Kelly tried to carry the season, but just couldn't do it alone. The writing was rushed and just awful. They should have taken a longer hiatus and done it well instead of the crap they filmed.
I do not believe what I’m seeing. UK shirt, Florida hat?!?!? I’m appalled. I bet you are wearing Duke shorts and UNC sneakers.
But in all seriousness, I’m halfway through and this season isn’t for me. To put it one way, it’s boring. The stakes were set too high from previous seasons.
Keep grinding brother!
Season 6 was a waste of bandwidth
Don’t understand the dislikes.
People butthurt
Keep being awesome
Don't write to yourself buddy it's pathetic.
Who the hell are you talking to
Bad season, horrific ending, underwhelming storyline. sorry Robin, you are a great actress, but this was just.... wrong on all levels. I love Diane Lane as Annette Shepherd. that's it. nothing else redeemable about this season.
Jenny

IMO : UNDERwhelming
This season was bullshit. You can say what you want but without Spacey it is crap. Frank was unique and Robin Wright cant even reach him a bit. So call me hater but its a fact: Without Frank Underwood its not HoC period
So are you going to get amino!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am looking at it right now!
Your the best
I hated this season. It ruined the show.
5 minute in and it was terrible...
you are not lying. they ruined this show.
This might sound a bit simplistic, but I'm trying to avoid spoilers so... stay with me... This season I expected Claire to bring the hurt, and kick some ass... Now... she does, in all the ways we love and adore in House of Cards... but.. I think this is the thing, because of the premise, the rich power family thing, which I don't dislike, and I understand why they went that route, and it is NOT an actor problem, it's a story problem... I care less about the ass she's kicking... it means less to me. I don't hate them in the way I hated Raymond Tusk or Xander Feng, or Dumbar at points... and Sharp... gaahhh.... or feel sorry for them in the way I felt for President Walker or the Walker family, Lucas, or Freddy and Edward.... CLAIRE STILL KICKS ASS THO!...
Very insightful comment. Thank you!
@@AustinBurke I was trying to decide whether or not HOC is driven by character or narrative. Of course initially I thought character because they all burn so brightly. But for a couple of seasons i felt like it got a bit weighed down with the narrative... now in this season they understandably want to focus on Claire and what her journey will mean etc, her and the other characters, and I think maybe they were so focussed on that that the narrative seemed slightly left behind, but only in terms of its importance.... may be I'm talking crap...
I mean, if Bill and Annette were introduced earlier, then that's fine. Introducing them in the final season and making them the main characters next to Claire and Doug? Apparently they were two of the most prominent presences in the country and yet we just hear about them now? Especially with so many storylines thrown apart? We never got to see the fallout of Frank's victims or the downfall of Claire.
As a Kentucky fan I am deeply aggravated with that hat your wearing..very disturbing
LOL no worries.. Just an Orlando hat. Not the team. Trust me.
lol this dudes tryin so hard not to offend anyone
People get offended so easy on this dang site lol
It’s hilarious and ridiculous
The ending fucking sucks!
Last season? Pathetic.
I love Clare Hale and was rooting for her all the way!
I loved this Final Season, the only reasons everyone hated it was because “it didn’t have Frank” (The Last couple seasons had sucked with him anyway, get over it and “her SJWness.” I enjoyed every second of this Season, we got to see inside Claire and what she would do differently then Frank.
so what kevin likes them young.... bring him back
Who else finished episode 8 and didn't know it was the finale...?
This is one of the stupidest reviews I’ve seen. It’s not spoilers, just talk about what happened on the show
You mean.... Spoil it?
No people are just pissed that I didn’t rage on it like a modern Star Wars fan. Nah, I’m not gonna stoop to that level. I’m gonna be honest and that’s what I did. I stand by every word.
People disliking cause they disagree? Typical CZcams.
Your production value is great.
Keep it up.
I'm confused about how disliking something because you disagree with it is bad? The two words are practically interchangeable with one another. Honestly though, I think people don't like this video because he shits all over Kevin Spacey, who *may* have done things reprehensible, but not worth destroying a landmark TV series over. All of which were also only allegations, which shouldn't carry too much weight. You of all people should know Jeffery. You followed me into a restroom in 2009 and pinned me up against a wall. Grabbed my ass and called me "a sweet snack". Really fucking hypocritical of you... Scumbag...
What up Frank this show is dead
Most negative review I've seen. Maybe its because you're a man. Lots of defending/missing of Spacey in the comments. Guess sexual abuse doesn't bother everyone
Clearly you didn’t listen to what I said
Vox, the most liberal site on the internet, gave it a 1.5/5
The show was better WITH Kevin Spacey. Regardless of what kind of person he is, deal with it.
