woahhhh.. You deleted Santal Blanc from your list?!? ;) I think it's really nice.. And that says quite a lot me not being a massive fan of figs. 😊 If you think you would enjoy a sort of milky fig + creamy and smooth sandalwood with a bit of fruity sweetness to it all then you would most likely enjoy this one! I think it's unique, well-blended and smells fantastic. Can't wait to start using it even more when the weather gets warmer!
This fragrance was a love at first sniff for me and could probably work as a year rounder. I enjoyed listening to your review

Great review, as always! Feeling the need to add this to my collection now too. I love the fig in Dioriviera, but overall, it's very green combined with the rose. This sounds completely different. I'm always looking for the perfect scent that combines the salty scented breeze of the beach with the atmosphere of a Mediterranean resort. So far, Dior's Eden Roc perfectly fills that void for me. Balade Sauvage is incredible too, but sadly discontinued. I'm hoping VC&A's Santal Blanc will give me that same feel.
Thank you! Dioriviera is an interesting one. I think Santal Blanc is VERY different though. That powderiness, it's smooth woodiness and it's slight hint of sweetness does not exist in the Dior, which like you mention is quite green 😊 Please share your thoughts on Santal Blanc if you try it out 😁
@@rottenrebels Just got my bottle of Santal Blanc. It's a bit different than I anticipated, but it's sooo good! To me, the sandalwood and violet in this seems similar to Santal 33, but Santal Blanc feels much more sophisticated. The creamy fig and juicy mandarin orange mix so well with the wood. I think this is going to be one my new favorites. Also curious, have you ever reviewed or worn VC&A's Bois d'Iris?

Bois d'iris is also nice, but not as unique as I think Santal Blanc is 😊

Hey man! This review is on point. I'm also not a fan of fig but this fragrance in combination with the sandalwood is really something else! When I tested it, I easily fell in love. Only two perfumes make me fall in love (the other one is Dior Fahrenheit) maybe due to the fact that the perfumer of both fragrances is none other than Michel Almairac. Really talented perfumer! I'm looking forward in acquiring this perfume by mid or end of the month. Happy that you reviewed this house. Really underrated imo. Cheers! 😄
Love to hear it JJ! yeah Santal Blanc is really something unique and beautiful. That fig and sandalwood combo is what makes it so good in such a unique way.. Loved using it so far during the colder part of the year but REALLY looking forward to using it more during spring and summer. This thing will smell insanely good on warm skin. Thanks for sharing!! I'm a literally milky scent lover and have tried multiple this type of perfumes lastly. This no doubt blows my mind due to its amazing combination of citrus, fig, and milky sandalwood, yet the milky note plays a minor role into it. Not sure if it works well when in hot days, anyway gonna take it home some day.

It's a gorgeous scent on warmer days as well 👌 Have you tried Maison Margiela Coffee Break? I bought it not long ago and it's also sort of milky but the scent is very different to Santal Blanc. This blend of coffee and vanilla with an aromatic touch and everything being sort of milky and creamy 😊

Bois Dore and Orchid Leather are really nice! Reviews coming up on those soon! Santal Blanc is to me a unique, incredibly smooth and creamy fig and sandalwood blend, so if you enjoy the scent of a milky fig with a creamy and smooth sandalwood then this you´ll most likely love this one 😊

How does Santal Blanc compare to santal 33 of Le Labo?
Its so nice you do the full review, i think the vancleef collection extraordinaire range didnt get enough hype, and i didnt see many reviews about santal blanc before i purchase it, and i love love this fragrance. Glad i got it!! I use it during the very hot days, but its so pleasant and it gets much creamier and so beautiful on my skin. Im gonna try bois d’iris,oud blanc and orchidee vanille. Have you tried those? If you did please do a review if you could thank you 😊

It works great in both colder weather and shines when it's warmer. Доброго времени суток! Жаль, что вы не знаете, что такое маринованные огурчики и не пробовали рассол от них! Для меня как раз на старте этого парфюма пахнет маринованными огурчиками и эта нота сохраняется на протяжении всего звучания. А еще можно сравнить с укропной водичкой, которую дают младенцам от боли в животике.
Но это действительно очень приятный парфюм, и он у меня в коллекции 😊

Hi! Questions like those are always hard to answer because only YOU know your nose 😉 But for a "fig scent" I think this is as blind buy worthy as can be. There are a lot of other fig focused perfumes out there that are NOT safe for blind buy. But.. I would only think about getting it if you enjoy the way it sounds in my review, and if you enjoy the scent of fig and sandalwood, because ultimately this is a fig dominant scent with sandalwood on top of musk and tonka.. And it all being a creamy smooth blend.
So if the above is not your thing, then do not blind buy it 😊😊

oh... I think Van Cleef have like (almost) world wide distribution.. Do you have problems finding any Van Cleef perfumes Or is it just Santal Blanc you can't find?
@@rottenrebels hey!!! It's mostly just santal Blanc. There are some random websites that have this listed but I am not sure how trustworthy those are. I'm trying to buy it from either some major department stores or perfume websites. Thanks for responding!!
