I thought it'd be fun to go through every pair of skate shoes I've owned (that I remember) and rank them using a tier list from best to worst. I go through each skate shoe and talk briefly about my experience skating them, pros & cons, and then rank them on an A-F scale. By the end I produce an ordered tier list of all the shoes I've skated from very worst of all time to very best of all time and everything in between. This video also includes a social distancing session on flatground at the volleyball courts with @Danny Torres , @Josh Katz , and @efdot where I get my first blizzard flip on camera, continue working on back 3's. + other random tricks.

Look up Jeffwonsong. He has like seriously some of the knarliest stair tricks out there, but his style is so ugly it’s hard to watch. I don’t think he could Ollie up 3 boards if he tried all day and he’s been skating for like 15 years

Zoom tres might be the most horrifically ugly, impossible-to-feel-your-board skate shoes I've ever owned... and 12 year old garage skating me loved them dearly. Great video concept. So much great nostalgia!

randomly got suggested this video, just started skating and need to find the right shoes but also play volleyball so where the FRICK are there actual nice outdoor courts for the public like that its like a dream come true
Great idea for a video chief! My go to shoes are Half cab pro and Sk8 hi pro. If you order Half cabs, make sure they have full suede around the ankle cuff. The current Periscope colour way has this. Some colour ways have a fabric ankle cuff which gets crushed or tears really quickly. Also, I have had a couple of pairs of Sk8 hi with a cup sole instead of vulcanised. These easily lasted twice as long and feel more structured. There is a Sk8 hi pro bmx version right now with the cup sole. I like Vans not because I think Vans make an especially good shoe, but because their sizing is really consistent. I ordered 3 different models of Adidas last year in US 10 and each pair were a different size. I love the Adidas brand, but I was really disappointed that the sizing was so inconsistent. Hey George I was wondering if you could make a video about how you deal with injuries, I recently hurt my foot and have been going insane not being able to skate to my full potential.
It probably depends so much on the type of injury. I can't speak for George, but I hear a lot of people try switch stuff more when they had an injury and try to do different tricks that don't affect whichever foot got hurt most. But maybe taking it easy is what helps more in terms of recovering, especially true for sprained ankles. I _did_ notice I prefer the puffy shoes, with some protection and a decent insole for any type of impact. That greatly reduces injuries, including basic stuff like soar knees and roughed up ankles from rougher streets. I think cupsoles are going to be my go-to shoes for now, probably the Es Accel OG I currently got. So, fingers crossed for hoping they will keep making those for a while.

Yeah I recently gave myself shin splints by skating too much, and I’m going insane waiting for it to heal
cruiser board with big soft wheels, push switch if dominant foot is messed up. ride a bike for knee rehab. do a 100 push up a day challenge so you can do street plants when your foot heals.

Try out the Emerica Romero’s. I love the feel the suede has. They are also super light without sacrificing any cushion in the heel. The only thing I can say negative is before they are broken in, they dig into the back of the ankle a little bit. But once they’re softened up they are amazing
Kyle walker pros are hands down my favorite pair of vans I’ve owned, I ride bmx and usually go through a pair every 2 months, 4 months strong right now

I have the Kyle Walker Pro's and they are the most comfortable vans I have ever owned.
The Chima 2's I couldn't even walk out of the mall with them. They felt well constructed on the sole but the top really bothered me and it felt like the shoes didn't absorb anything.
You should do this but with deck brands. Love your content George ❤️
I just bought a pair of Chima pro 2’s and they just came in. 🚫🧢 this boosts my confidence for my purchase. So far everything with basic flat grown and even cruising feels nice

I was wondering, have you ever gone to the vans website, if you haven't you can customize every single part of your shoe, it can be any color or pattern, you can upload an image and have it on there.
Basically I'm just wondering if you were to do so from the website out of the choices of skate shoes available (only certain models you can customize) which would you choose?
I know pro model shoes are better usually but from the basic sk8 shoes they offer that you can customize which would you think is best?
P.s. you can customize backpacks also.
u can change all the canvas to suede as well

In my experience, Adidas look good (sometimes) but they're terrible. Uncomfortable and cheaply made. Vans take the number one spot for me. This is what I have found.

I just got a pair of Lakai Cambridge shoes and I have really been liking them. Good cushion but not so much that you lose board feel. Also the flick feels pretty solid and seems like they will be lasting a while, not flimsy but also not chunky, definetly worth a look at.
I love the Janoskis. They're my go-to shoe. They look good, they're durable (a canvas pair lasted 2 months and i skate everyday) and they have amazing boardfeel.

I had the tan safari zoom tres with orange laces back when I was kid in elementary. Loved those shoes
Nike Bruin edge have worked really well for me with just the right amount of board feel and cushioning, the canvas and suede is really long lasting and I love the look of the shoe (very underrated shoe) love your videos hope this helps

I'm currently skating the DC Penza shoes (black gum colorway). They're bulky but still give good boardfeel. With a little Shoo Gloo once in a while, they won't tear up to fast!

The Vans Chima Pro 2 is what I use for longboarding interestingly enough. Didn't expect to see my exact pair of shoes on this list, colour and all.
The CTAS pros are great. Improper sizing could definitely make you hate them but I’d say that shoe is at least a solid B. I think maybe you should try them one more time but with the accurate sizing. Super worth it.

Hey George what shoe would you recommend I’m currently getting back into skate boarding and I’m thinking about getting a new pair of shoes
My favorite skate shoes that I’ve owned are the adidas MatchCourts. I skated the black suede and gum ones which lasted me over a year (with one or two shoe goo sessions) and the adidas x helas edition (which are all leather) and lasted me another 1-2 years (with only one shoe goo session). Granted I don’t skate as much or as hard as a lot of people, but if you like a slim shoe with good board feel and lasts you a long time (because of the toe cap), that’s my recommendation. I’m currently skating some Vans Era Pros
