If u notice in 2.7 in the final xiao cutescene they actually put xiao demo music but changed a bit to sad than agressive, if u listen carefully u will notice.

I love it when during cutscenes or anytime when there's some other music playing and suddenly they play a specific character theme. iirc this is hoyo's first time doing this. Hopefully, they're gonna do it more in the future. This is also the first time in-game we got to hear a character's theme if I'm not wrong. It was during 3:00 of the cutscene btw.

Xiao is my absolute favourite character. I have simped for many others and i no longer main him but no one would ever come as close as him to my heart. I have adored him since the first time i saw him in the liyue archon quest two years ago. The lantern rite event made him permanently imprinted on my mind. And I'll just have to say that he's a badass dps, meta everywhere but he can still dominate. I have mained several other dps charas including ayaka, the meta goddess rn. But he's just something else.

I keep listenting to it and it doesn't feel hype, instead it sounds menacing. Like the way the music is building up but then instead of blowing up into super loud music it goes like "dun dun dun dun DUN DUN DUN DUN DUNDUDNUDNUNDUDNUDN"
like progressively gets louder and louder, but when he uses his burst it sounds so ominous and cool. Like it resets the build up. I don't know, to me it's what makes the line so much more more satisfying

The things i'll do for this man.. anyway this soundtrack fits him perfectly, genshin did justice with him indeed. it's epic and even frightning as if u know u should be careful from him and that is something beyond human. it also in the style of liyue there's so much story in it. the burden, the years of suffering. you can hear that and how much xiao holds in everything he can, yet still so proud of being adepti and thankful to morax doing his duty till this day to not get eaten by darkness. luckily, he has Aether now (the traveler i choosed) haha he's not alone anymore.

I ended up skipping him during Lantern Rite in 2.4. I started playing just before 2.3, and I was pouring everything I had into prepping and saving for Venti. My interest in Xiao grew pretty much at the last possible second, and while I was tempted to pull him, it would've been awkward if I had gotten him, but didn't have enough to get Venti. "Chase both rabbits, you won't catch either," basically.
As it turns out, I was able to pull C1 Venti and still ended up with way more pulls than expected left, so now I feel kinda silly. But, I'm patient. Whether he reruns in 2.7 or not, I'll keep on waiting!
Edit: Man, this really aged well. I've got the absolute guarantee, so I'll finally be able to pull him next week!

I'm super late, but I was *very easily* able to get him in 2.7, and had won the 50/50 for him even. He's triple crowned now, and I've managed to get his C1 and PJWS this patch, too!

I've been enjoying him immensely, and have since been able to pull Zhongli in 3.0 via the guarantee I got via losing Xiao's C1 to Keqing. As of this patch, I was able to once again win the 50/50 for Xiao's C1, and I was able to also get PJWS! The only thing I'm missing now is an Anemo% goblet that rolls what I need it to, and he'll be absolutely perfect!

I started Genshin when Xiao was rerunning but I didnt have a clue back then. 1 month later I desperately regret it and decided to buy a Xiao account. I have been so happy playing GI ever since. Moving fast everywhere, flying, changing direction mid-air, plunging, everything is SO FUN. I dont care if people say he's out of meta whatsoever, I'm here for the experience and he delivers it 100%.
